You dont need to cut anything to install the Hiboost kit. You will need to remove the stock smic though.

with that hiboost can you run relocated maf?
also, as far as tuning unichip goes, i was quoted $400-600 to tune both maps, including dyno time. not bad really i dont think. that was in Greely Colorado

Yeah, You can run the relocated MAF, infact it is better that way because of the BOV. and $400-600 is a good price for two maps being tuned. Let me know what you want to do.

unichips not bad imo. As long as you dont use its boost control ( I went with a greddy b-spec ) its solves the spiking issues. most unichip tuners charge bout 80 bucks an hour. may take a couple depending on what else you got.

truboost uses the same solenoid type.. which is what causes the spike.

Also true, but it is somehow more accurate and precise. The boost didnt spike anywhere near as high with the Tru Boost. The Tru Boost reads boost directly from the gauge to release or retain pressure. How does the stock MSP read boost?
