How wide can I go wheel/tire with ET45?

With a good roll and little pull I would say 18x9.5, maybe even 10inch. That's a pretty conservative offset.
I'm running 37 offset with 18x9.5 with a good roll on stock springs, and only rub a little. I need to get a pull. 245/40/18 tires.

18x9.5 +37 on stock suspension will work since there is a lot of wheel gap. But if you hit a hard bump, you'll probably rub even with rolled fenders. You'll have to pull them as much as you can.

You can do 18x9 +45 with probably a 265/35 or 275/35 tire. Could possibly need a 5mm spacer up front.

forgot to mention lol this Q related to R17.

I want to put my hands on:
front 17x8 and rear 17x9
both wrapped with 225/45 R17

Those will looks really small.
well yeah... to get closer to stock like dia I would have to put 245/45 on..
but it would kill steering lightness due to way wider trail..

also I never checked stock R18 for how much clearance is there

anyone running 245/45 R17 on ms3?

udontknowjack ran 17x8's +50 with 245/45's but on BC coilovers. But he wasn't that low.

You could always just get 235/45 and be slightly shorter than the stock tires diameter.

yeah. which makes me think that having 9 with less offset and less tire width should run just fine. I wish I could test drive smbd's ms3 with at least 235s on

Indeed. It's not even really bumps, but hard cornering (i.e. over 80 mph). I don't think you could go that wide on the wheel because you'll rub the stock struts. I've got coilovers coming in a week or so and I'm going to see how much I can drop it.

Stock struts/shocks allow more room for wider wheels with higher offset, coilovers don't. With BC's, 18x8 +50 with 235/40 is like 1-2mm clearance. With stock, you can run 18x8 +50 with a 245 width tire.
