Cobb not making sways for the 3 anymore?!?!

I was just at the Cobb Tuning site and they only have springs in the MS3 suspension section! When did this happen?

I'm selling my bike in the spring and the wife agrees that since the bike is my toy, I get to spend the proceeds on whatever I want. I already have a rear bar, I was planning on adding the front bar. I was going back to the stock springs and a set of Koni FSDs all around. I figured this would be a nice combination for handling without undue discomfort. Now what the hell do I do? I suppose I could sell the rear bar and buy a matched set of another brand, but damn.

If you're looking for the COBB FSB you may want to jump on one from Street Unit.

I do think a set of adjustable end links would suffice. That's my plan.

That blows. When I had the money I was going to get their Rear Sway Bar cause I heard just that by itself was a huge improvement. It's very upsetting that COBB seems to be slowly backing it's way out of the mazda platform. I really love, and trust their products.
 
I have read that you don't need to upgrade the FSB. I have the Cobb RSB and could tell the difference just by backing out of the drive and cruising through the neighborhood. The car was much tighter. The FSB is a b**** to install anyway. Save your money. I have a set of Koni FSD's on the way from a GB on another forum. Will be going on when they get here.
 
with the cobb rsb, yes you do not need to upgrade the front. the hotchkis, however is a different story. without the front, and the rear on the stiffest setting, the car has a tendency to snap oversteer

From what I understand, the Cobb rear by itself on the heavier setting can do this also if you really push the car. I've maintained all along that the reason for two settings is that the mild is for just a rear bar and the stiff is for when you do the front as well. This increases the rear stiffness in relation to the front, but not excessively so. Unless of course you enjoy having the ass end of your car try to swap places with the front with no warning at high speeds on winding roads.

I drove my MS3 for a couple months with the rear at the stiffest setting with the Hotchkis Sways, before I put in the front. It drove just fine for me. i am sure it would have been best to be on the softer side though. Once I pout in the front, it made cornering a lot better though.

the hotchkis soft setting is the same as cobb's stiffest. obviously the hotchkis stiff setting is more (140% i believe) so yes it will have a tendency to oversteer. however, if you get them both, the car is almost completely neutral and I can adjust oversteer/understeer tendencies simply by adjusting tire pressure (i autox)

Interesting. Obviously the two design groups have dramatically different ideas as to what is a good balance for this car. If I had the cash now (instead of having to wait for spring) I would pick up that front bar now while they are available.

Got my Cobb rsb couple months ago from Surgeline..call them up they might still be able to get you one. If not I think the winner is Hotchkis..its alwas been on par if not alittle better than the Cobb..and pricewise is pretty close if Im not mistaken. Iam very happy with my Cobb rsb :)
 
This is a bummer. I really wanted one, however I'm not sure if there's a RSB or FSB for the 2010 MS3 yet anyways.
