because its one of the harder things in this world to be good at, and takes a lot of time and a lot of talent in a lot of different areas to even have a hope of making money at it, not to mention the monetary investment in professional equipment. enjoy it as a hobby, let that be enough unless you are REALLY passionate about it. even then VERY few people make a career out of it, most just do it as side work.

absolutely. at some point I'd love it if someone threw me cash to take pics of stuff, but for now I'm happy just to be able to get some nice shots of stuff in my own life.

I sold my old xti and my 75-300 and I'm buying a Powershot G11 to take to Brazil with me. I think I'm going to have to get an underwater case for it.
