xDJ DUBx's 03.5 Pure White LX-T

Depends on how you wanna look at it. lol.

The turbo install went perfect, couldn't of asked for a better install but mazda's design flaw in the intake mani got worse with the boost as it had already been present prior to turbo, all the way back to automatic days, I found out the problem too late as I was using excessive oil by that point and it got so bad, that spark plug was getting drowned out by oil so it was missing a lot. This is when it got parked and has been waiting for a motor, which is almost here.

My car's history is pretty complex but as far as the turbo install, doing my hw really paid off, I had everything I needed and she ran like a dream for a couple weeks.

Mircoman, if you were to do a turbo on yours, I'd be, along with other MOCCers, more than happy to help you on install. I got mine done in a day, the biggest problem was the pipe routing but everything else bolted on no problem.

(2thumbs) He speaks the truth microman, do your reasearch and everythiong will be really simple. The hardest part is your piping and figuring out how exactly you want to run it. I have done my fare share of these and the piping is the worst. (unless you buy a expensive premade kit.)

Cool man. I do want to put a turbo with at least 260HP in my MP3 someday. Money is the only obstacle right that at this point it ain't gonna happen anytime soon, unless I win the lottery or sumtin! :)

Pulled the motor, was a breeze, that means I've done this one too many times. lol.

I can't wait to get back over there and give the engine bay a GOOD cleaning while everything is out.

As she sits now, waiting for the motor to come back...

If fitted correctly, I think it'll look pretty sweet. Its a bit wide and needs a bit of modification but we'll see what we can do.

I also took pics of the oil line and coolant line/throttle body bypass setup for anyone who was interested, such as non-turbo people who are going to, who can't get the image in their head of how it will look.

I want to see that p5 spoiler when its all done, all ways wanted one like that. I know wings west had something like that

Agreed. I did my research before getting my kit, and installed it in my garage. Took longer than expected because it was a used kit, and parts were missing, but otherwise, not a hard install.

honestly, I piped my FMIC kit in 5 hrs solo... granted... I went a quick and dirty route with the hotpipe... but a couple more couplers and I would have spent the extra half hour to reroute it.

Exactly I can completely pull an engine and trans in less than 4 with a dinner break included. LOL. Installing everything (turbo, mani, lines, comp....) all of that will take less time then the piping. It took 2 days (about 4 until we figured out the first day we needed more couplers and put back to stock lol) and another 4 hours on another sat to route the piping the hard way. It is not hard just very tedious to do right and route in a neat and clean fashion. There is no "correct" way to route the pipes all in personal preferance. Please do not take this as a discouragement but more as a heads up so you do not get discouraged half way through.

Anyways...
Dub keep the updates rolling.

I don't think it will. I mean, I still think it looks good mocked up.

I think its like the cf grille w/o the hood, I like it but most don't, but its not like it destroys the car ya kno?

Ok so I have a question that doesn't relate to anything on here and I don't wanna make a thread for a little question so I'll ask in here...

What are the passport rules for leaving the country and going to mexico? Do you need one to go, or come back, or both? Do you have to be a certain age/gender to need one? Do you need one at all?

you need one for canada, I'd assume you do for mexico... dunno for sure. I'll get some info for you when I do my passport for jamaica..

I ask because my girl's uncle's wife's mother passed away last week and they live in TJ, my girl's parent's are insisting on going to TJ to pay their respects in person.

This was just an idea then this morning she tells me they're going, TODAY. I think they might of already left. I'm worried about the passport thing, cause her parents are the kind to not take this into consideration.

You need a passport for Mexico. New U.S. Laws because of terrorism.

You might be able to get a quick one at a USPS post office. I think their like around $80-100 bucks.

Mom, brother and my girl = $240 - $300? LOL, ya right, she wouldn't pay that for herself, little lone the family. Guess she'd rather waste the gas.
