yeah ive been lookin at this site for a while now..i wanna get a speed..but really undecided on what color to get..i want to black out a car. but the black 6's really look purple sometimes when then light hits them..
There was a "black cherry mica" color for the 2006 MS6, which looks as you describe...you're probably seeing pictures of those cars. There is also straight black, so you can look for those.
The black Cherry definitely looks a bit Purple when the sun hits it (a plus for me since purple is one of my favorite colors). It is a metallic color so there are a lot of different colors in the paint. I think the white is a metallic pearl also. The white is great also.
BCM is the best, but then I am biased. It does change color in the sunlight, depending upon how it sits it can look purplish, brown, black, and others in between. It certainly gets a lot of looks and comments. I personally feel it gives the car a classy, grownup look.
the black cherry looks great when its CLEAN, otherwise, it's kind of brown or almost black. my sister in law has a black cherry CX-9, until I saw it in the sun I thought it was black.
You should see the velocity red mica in the sun.........it's beauty will take your breath away. Oh yeah, as others have already mentioned it's also the fastest color.
I have a black mica and it looks like an extreamly dark grey in hard sunlight if I park beside an actual black car, lol. And no, my car was not dirty and isn't that the paint is faded, it's just not like a jet black. Kinda hard to explain lol, another black mica might be able to add on...
I've never seen a black cherry speed... but I don't see any speeds where I live (for that matter).
Only the black cherry mica one looks purple, the black is a regular black car (from what I've seen in pictures, never seen a black one in person).
I have a liquid platinum one...it tends to reflect colors as well. I've seen it look blue hued, and purplish, depending on the sky color, and I got a nice picture of it reflecting the sunset. And, at the same time, it's just a silver sedan, so it blends into the background (stealth FTW).
