Anyone running 19s?

Just out of curiosity...anyone running 19s?

Thinking about:
(2)19x8.5 Front
(2)19x9.5 Rear
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
Offset: +20 FRONT & +25 REAR

Almost certain they'd fit...
Aware of rolling/pulling fenders...but should I really look for something in the 18" size instead.

The wheels are sexy as hell....(butthump)

A few guys have ran 19's, but you def. don't wanna stagger the fitment. The AWD system will tell a difference most likely, and cause problems for ya.

The only 19's I'd run on the MS6 would be a set of RX-8 R3 wheels.

Staggered setup is a no-no on awd if you're talking about a speed6.

Yes, I'm referring to the Speed6.
You're the first person that I have seen mention the staggered setup as being a no-no on an AWD car....what about all the staggered set ups on EVOs/WRXs etc?

I heard that if you want to run staggered on an AWD, you keep the tires very close to stock diameter and also very close to each other....thoughts?

So Steve, I should try and stick to basically the same size all around...copy that.

Apples and oranges Phil. The Evo and WRX use a full mechanical AWD system, the MS6 does not. The ECU/PCM can detect variations in tire tread, so it would also detect different tread depths, so you have to be careful. Your best bet is 4 identical wheels.

Gotcha....did some more researching and found a few full sets.
18x8.5
18x9.5
19x8.5
19x9.5

I'm kind of weary of the 9.5 tires though....wider is better...but not sure how wide you can go on the MS6...

Surely, with a lowered car, you'd HAVE to roll the fenders.

The next car, will be "HellaFlush".

That fitment is just sex.

So 9.5 will be out too much...damn...I figured the car was fat enough in the back to compensate.
So 18s are the OEM size, probably run 19x8.5 to be a bit different & play it safe.

I've been looking but couldn't really find anyone running a really aggressive setup coil-over wise with bigger wheels...seems most are running springs.

Check this thread, there are a few.

If you look through that thread, though, you'll see a lot of 18s that look plenty big. I'd argue 19" is overkill, unless you're really going for an in-your-face look. I can't imagine how much they must cringe over every rough edge in the road. I'll keep my sidewalls, thank you ;)

The higher the offset the better with the 6, I've seen people run as low as 30 but they had to dial in some negative camber and roll and pull fenders. Mazda just didn't leave us much clearance which is why I run stock RX8 18's for a change of look. Plus they are 8" wide so I can run a wider tire.
I have seen people with evo x rims on this car with 245s with roll/pull/neg camber but tires wore very uneven and quickly. Looks sick tho if you have money to burn on tires :)

To give you an idea of how much fender room there is... I am running 17x7 +55 with a 225 tire and it's rubbing in the back. Need to roll.

Yea...

jeez....I see.
So anyone running -offset (deep dish)?

Nate, I'm surprised that you're rubbing with that setup. I'm on 225/40/18's with H&Rs and no rubbing at all on the stock MS6 wheels. I hear most of the complaints from people who go 8" or wider, or run a funky offset that the car doesn't like.

Phil, I hate to break it to ya, but this probably isn't going to be the car where you run a deep dish wheel. I've yet to see it, and with the narrow rear fender wells, you're probably going to run into issues with that.
