mmmm, so that's what my car would look like if it was tinted... i like it!

and the black wheels! i want to do something to my oem 'winter' wheels now, because the clearcoat is all wearing away, so i want to do something like a dark gunmetal or something...

mckernan, What did you use to black out the reverse lights?

you actually cant buy nightshades in canada, although thats what you can use in the US.

i simply used "Smoke", or "transparent black" laquer model paint.
its meant to tint windows on model cars. but works fine for lights.

you just need to wet-sand them, spray, spray, spray, wetsand, spray clear, spray clear, spray clear, and polish + wax.

looks fine,
but just like dubs, mine need to be resprayed too, the right side looks lighter than the left lol.

its pretty easy, just practice on something first.
here's what they looked like right when i was done.

I thought that BlueBatMobile had some tinted overlays for the taillights, that cover just the clear part, like mine. Would that $15 route not have been better and easier?

Stop cutting your car off in your pics!!! And no offense, but I wanna see something other than a long exposure light streaking shot too, lol.

you can buy VHT nightshade at any Performance Improvements across canada. I keep reading people saying you cant find it in canada. The basic store like CT and napa wont have it, it has to be a aftermarket shop. its $15. i used 5 coats to make my s*** real dark.

thats why i didnt post in the best pics thread lol.
this is just for photos, not best photos

I think when I redo mine, I'm gonna do the whole light, light, so the tail looks kinda blood red instead of cherry red.

I think this would look much better than just the reverse light. Just the reverse light doesn't look "clean" to me for some reason. Even tho I do like smoked/dark tails & lights.
