What have you done to your MSP today?

In Oregon, it would be your fault AND the fault of the car in the outside lane that stopped to let you pull into oncoming traffic. The only guy they wouldn't make responsible here is the guy that hit you. Weird, huh...

LOL how in the hell could the guy that stopped for him be at fault? i think they just made that s*** up.

They say that when he stops and motions you out into oncoming traffic he is blocking your view of the center lane so you have to depend on him to know its safe to enter oncoming traffic. So he becomes responsible for leading you to think it was safe when it wasn't. He's also blocking the view of you by the guy coming on in the inside lane, so basically the guy who stops to let you pull out screws it up for everybody.

WTF that is totally not your fault. that cop probably just doesn't like imports.

Haha, I will say, the cop was actually a nice guy about it, so I can't really call him a dick. The trouble is, the cops have to blame someone, so by the letter of the law, I was MORE wrong than the other guy, so I get the $110 ticket for "failing to yield." The cop did mention that the other guy was wrong for "improper use of the turn lane," but I've never been in an accident before, so I don't know how shared blame works in the police report...

i dont like center turn lanes for that reason.

Yeah... note to self

The people who stopped for me were long gone by the time the cop showed up, but I got a witness right behind the guy who stopped who saw the whole thing. Hopefully the insurance company talks to him and reassesses the "blame" to at least equal to both parties.

At least it wasn't the MSP, right?

hahaha i can see your girlfriend posting this in the Nissan/Infiniti forums and people saying "OMG NOOOOOO why couldn't it have been that POS protege?!?!

I was thinking this exact same thing. Had it been the reversed role, she would've been on the Nissan/Datsun/Infiniti forums saying "Thank God I wrecked the POS Protege instead of my wonderful G."

LOL!!

The funny part is, all my friends were like, "well from an performance standpoint, at least you wrecked the lesser of the two."

She was not amused.

the leak in my msp is getting worse, passenger carpet completely soaked and everything in the glovebox was kinda damp also.

*smiles*
