What have you done to your MSP today?

It looks like a recurring theme.... everybody gets so wrapped up in modding the car that the money goes there instead of into routine maintenance costs.

So you buy your new (to you) MSP and then find out the radiator is patched, the belts are frayed, the bushings are shot, rotors are warped, and the welds are broken....

yep. but s*** happens. things could have been brought to my attention..but they werent. i still would have bought it. i would have stockpiled parts to repair it!!
lol

havent done anything really but fix all the crap that needs to get fixed before i start modding it. today im gonna hopefully i can take the egr valve off today lolz

Get your hands on the Canadian version EGR valve and replace your stock one with it. The stock EGR valve sucks balls. A member on here found that the Canadian version is much better in design and a lot less prone to fail like the piece of crap we have in our cars.

sorry if this seems stupid but umm is stripped the bolts on it so it wont come out...like how would i switch it out with a new one? and where would i get a new one

You have to figure out a way to get a socket around those bolts and get them out. You can contact Jason at onlinemazdaparts.com about a new unit.

Broke a rear endlink today.. ball just ripped right out of its stocket. ordered some ball joints from mcmaster and gonna replace the links hopefully early next week. *hates living in canada if only for shipping from the us...*

could somebody show me a picture of exactly where they mounted a vacuum block on their msp? my dad is suggesting that i mount it on the firewall but i'm not sure if that's really necessary or what?

Rotated tires:), and nephew thought I'd would be funny to roll one tire down a hill and across the street... Rascally kids!!.

a moment of silence please for my stock battery which finally died today

Wow that lasted way longer than the average. Mine doesn't get driven a lot so it sits lonely from time to time and it killed the battery quick. Even a junk yard battery outlasted the stocker though.

dude since the beginning of the year i put 1k max on it, there were times it sat for weeks. today i was saying to damian i cant believe my stocker's still goin strong. and then it didnt start lol

LOL I had my car in storage for a good while and had to keep pushing the car started every where. I thought it just needed to be charged so I kept trying to drive on it to charge it but not even after leaving it all night on a trickle charger did it hold the next day. It started once or twice and that was it.
