Aggressive fitment anyone?!

let start a thread for whos gonna be there..

someone link me to it after its started.. i only use the msp section of this forum haha

thanks dude, i am probably throwing on some BBS RS 16x9 with 3" dish front and back soon. just need to decide between pink pc'd centers or baby blue. if i dont install them, then im doing my RGRs in pink or blue. Sahara gold is different and not common, but its getting old

ya i know about the height eh.. this race season is almost done so i will be able to slam the car on coilovers for show... i had it higher for performance becuase it was tracked every weekend

justin and Shi-Fu have you ever heard of the huge VW meet in Maryland called H20? i think its the 2nd or third weekend in sept.. you should go dude. i went last year and am going this year with my car... stretched slammed and pokin.. the euro way..
you guys should come!! its one HELL of a partyy

RS's would look SO sick on your car, its funny you said you were looking into getting them because we have a huge VW scene where i live and i was thinking about rocking a set also haha. i'm too broke to afford them though!

and i'll definitely be at H20 this year, i'll catch you guys there...i didn't go last year but i'm being forced to go by all my VW friends haha.

i figured you had a lil euro influence haha.. i was just guessing though by your modding style haha

ill see ya there buddy

my first set looks just like the WORK Equip, but they are made by a company in Japan called More CW-33. I just sold that set couple days ago too :(
spec is 17x8 35mm offset, stretched on 205-40-17 tires

second set are Advan SA3R.
Ill be holding onto these for awhile.
spec is 16x7 25mm offset, with 195-50-16 tires.

I used to be in the Euro scene, where fitment was everything!
thats where I learned about wheel fitment.......
now that I think back. I should have poked my wheel out a bit more on my A4, but I was too worried about "rubbing"
now I just dont mind it. lol

BBS are 205/40 Falken 452s :) want the stretched look

Work are 225/40 Falken 615s

Hate to be so late with this, but I saw you have the same size wheel I do and are running the size of tire I WANT to do.

Any fitment issues with those 225/40/18's? I know those Falkens run a tad wider than most tires. From the pics it looks perfect!

K.Soze - to be honest, i am rubbing with that tire setup yes,... rubbing badddly. i ran Toyo T1R 215/35/18s on the same rims before and was slammed tucking tire and didnt rub, but i also had -3 camber in the rear to prevent that.

and to Zack... if you go on a lot of tire sites and s*** you will see that virtually any size tire (within comparison) sits the exact same portion of tire on the groud at all times, ie: the fatter the tire is, the thinner the width sits on the ground. the skinnier the tire is, the more sits on the ground circumference wise. it is all with the weight of the vehicle just being dispersed differently.

anyways..

i just picked up a set of 16x8 +42 Volk TE37s in white that will be going on my car with 245/45/16 Toyo RA1s for daily driving.. is that more your style :)

Justin, here are my new RSs :) 17x8s +35 but not sure if im gonna keep em. i bought these with intentions of rebuilding them wiht 3" lips to make them 17x9.5s and half caps.
was gonna euro the car out until i bought the TEs and now im back to JDM i think.. 16s with fat ass R-compounds for the street FTW:)

Do you think it's just that brand of tire or any 225/40/18's? Like I said, I know the RT-615's run a tad wider. I really want to run that tire and wheel setup, but if it's going to rub badly, I might not. I'm not running a super aggressive drop right now (Eibach Pro-Kits) so maybe that could help. Also, if I did decide to do it, you think I could run a little negative camber in the rear to get it to work?

8 inch wheel and 205 tire. such a waste of width

maybe if you combine the different tire brand with the negative camber it should work. i was on a similar drop as you with my H&Rs (1.2 compared to 1.3 or something) and it would rub. i knew i was going to be getting coilovers so i never went through the trouble of getting negative camber on the stock struts to clear.

i ran the same rims with a 215/35/18 T1R setup tucking tire just fine... never rubbed once.

i say to try it. find a narrow shouldered tire (Toyos are i think) and maybe add a degree negative if need be

as for H20... im out this year :(

i have been looking forward to it for months, but just cant get everything together by the weekend. i have had to do a lot of repairs lately after hitting a raised manhole cover that ****** up my suspension and bent my FORGED BBS rims

forced me to buy some coilovers though.. not fully setup yet but it is coming

this a little better Justin?

****** stretched tires dont leave much room for error. look at how the lip protector just ripped on impact. i didnt really like the colour or the rims anyways...

Pink or Baby Blue next...

scott, those are ******* sick dude. i love the color. also, pink is sex.

no baby blue..

honestly, it's weird.. but baby blue reminds me of gay more than pink...

i completely agree for some reason haha.. but blue would go sick with the orange.. maybe a deep blue.. almost like a subaru blue..

or pink haha
