Front wheel bearings done...it was quite the job...2 days, a smashed thumb and a burned finger later, no more roaring from my front hubs. totally worth it.

Don't ask why, lots of problems.
A/C quit blowing cold on the way home, compressor wasn't kicking on. It wasn't kicking on when I bought the car last year either, put two cans of Duracool 12a in it and it lasted almost a year. Didn't see anything at wamalart with 12a on it so I bought some 134a, put it in, blew cold for 10 minutes, shut off, left two hours later and no more cold. Compressor is coming on though...

Replaced the leaking passenger-side output shaft seal on the transmission today. I believe the transmission was just about out of fluid. I only bought one bottle of fluid, if its gone this long on nothing surely it can go another week or two or three on what she has in her now. I don't think I'll be able to work on her again until I get back from Mexico. In doing so saw that my ball joint seals I just replaced (when I did the wheel bearings) have already split and spewed out their grease. So I'm sure they are due to fail anytime. With 225,000 I guess I'll start pricing new control arms, damn this car is a money pit..
So let me get this straight you put r12 into a r134 system? am I to guess right that you probably just used one of those walmart hoses and added the refrigerant to the system? I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if your compressor is shot
^ I'm pretty sure the system came with 134a, it was low, I put in 12a and it worked great for a year, I put in a can of 134a, it was cold, now its not.
I just took it to the store and now the compressor isn't kicking on...
I think I must have spring a decent leak because when I was done putting the 134a in and I disconnected the can, after disconnecting it from the car, I smelt just a tiny bit of the stuff that was left in the can. As I drove over to pick up my computer and was trying to get it to work I could have sworn I was smelling the same smell. Now the compressor isn't kicking on as if it is low on coolant again.
As for mixing 134a and 12a, this is directly from duracool's website...
So I've broken the law twice now, but I don't think I've messed up the compressor, I'm leaning towards having a bad hose somewhere...

Started the strip down today, all parts won't be FS though until i sell the P5
Callie gets my lights for now, at least till I pick up the MSP and swap em back. She should have hers in 2-3 months
Also removed the 03.5 MSP lip. Gotta go get a CD pocket at Walmart and then the gauges come out this week coming, along with short shifter and AWR motor mounts
Gonna swap intake manifolds back and do the rear motor mount while i do
Checked out the brake pads and made sure they were up to snuff. They were nearly brand new! That was a good feeling to have considering we just bought this thing. Maybe the previous owner DID actually do some maintenence on this car.
Since the brakes were good I busted out the POR15 and fixed all of the surface rust/bubbling in the back fenders (to prevent them from getting any worse) and then POR15'd the SERIOUS engine bay rust the car had. Hopefully that'll get it to stop spreading or at least slow it down.
