Still using the 2 strboes?

Yeah, I only have 3 PW. I need to buy one more and use the 430EX in random spots (interior, under car, background)

I'm using two 10-lb ankle/wrist weights to weigh down the light stand on the ABR800 lol

I agree with you. The wing did complete it with a roof rack and all. If i get sick of the wingless look ill slap it back on. Or i might get a 03.5 wing. But as of right now im digging it. (burnout)

what'd u do to cover the holes?

03 wing man. The 03.5 stuff is getting played out like the front lip LOL.

Awesome. I'm currently saving for the bees..but I can't decide whether I should go the ringflash or just the regular b800's. What do you think? What would constitute a need for the ringflash?

If you plan on doing a lot of portraits, the ABR800 is good for the halo effect in the catch light, but it also can be used as a normal strobe. I bought it for indoor use when I don't have the space to set up the AB800 with an umbrella. The ABR800 does a nice job of diffusing the light.

For another $120, I spent the extra for the ring flash even though it'll be used mostly for automotive.

Another question...shooting in broad daylight like that..what was your power setting for the flash and what was your camera setting? I've never shot bees outside, only inside. Do you find yourself running out of room power-wise in broad daylight like that photo?

threadjack guys.... if there isn't a photography technique thread there should be...

it's the "Anybody a photographer" thread. It's there...sorry..was just asking questions..Like I mean I know how to use strobes..it's just different with the Alien Bees and their output compared to dinky little speedlights.

Edit: what would be cool is if we got a Photographer's Corner going...complete with techniques for automotive photography, buy/sell, techniques for general photography, and maybe a business end of photography.
