Haha I understand. 2900 lbs is a whale though - isn't that less than the 3? They're faster because they're so damned light! I'll be doing some weight trimming and power adding, no doubt. I'd like to get <2800 lbs and at least 150 whp but either way it will be fun before I get into bridge porting, ITB's and a Haltech because then I'll be in SM2, LOL!

I was going by curb weight. My RX-7 is like 2880 lbs, my old P5 was 2820 lbs or so. That's assuming full completely stock with full tank of gas, oil, coolant, etc. but no passengers or cargo. I thought the 3 was up in the 3k region?

speed3 is in that range, but surprisingly the 3 is about the same as the protege. Just looks like it would be heavier since its a bigger.

Wow the P5 is pretty damn light for a wagon....
If only it was turboed from the factory. I might keep it forever!
Around 80-100 lbs heavier than the P5 from what I can remember. The turbo stuff, rear sub, suspension and wheels add quite a bit of weight. It's funny because IIRC the sedan is lighter (in non-MSP form).
