What have you done to your P5 today?

did you hear what it replaced? Legacy....lol

It's a small step up, but, it is a step up.

i've got a 10 JL Audio in a sealed box in the wife's car.

No one ever said for sure a ported would sound worse or better than a sealed.

now you say this ? *face palm*

correct tools are a better investment than some car mods.

You might look into getting a basic mechanics set

well i have a basic craftsman 101 pc auto kit. but i was gonna try to take that whole panel off that the ecu was attached too. but the nuts on the top part were to deep so i couldnt get anything on them(hence the tool comment). after i figured out how to approach it after that it went quick. oh and the ecu is tits. i couldnt get em to break loose in the 1-2 shift with the ms3 rims and now its got a little more oomph and theyll break a bit. and the power band is A LOT better.

Well...lets see...we got the car running a few days before the EECMM and decided to bring it out...ran great for the first few days, and then out of nowhere we left the group and were heading through the countryside to Pigeon Forge for our house we rented out and when we come to a stop the car shuts off...

Won't turn back on...we can't figure out what is wrong with it, so we have to get it towed the 60 miles to Pigeon Forge...when we get it to the shop, we find out the bad news...after an examination we find that the left two runners from the header are warm and the right two aren't...we have about 100 pounds compression in two of the cylinders...

So...we decide to pull off the VC and check it out and what do we find...well...a snapped camshaft...supposedly the oil pump went out...

Not sure if we are going to need just a new head or what...

have not touched my car in months...nor washed it.
i hate the damn wagon.
its boring now. i need to do something new to it i guess.
i really want these but no one will buy my wheels/tires/spacers...

holy crap not cool. hope you get it worked out

Sniff, I'm sorry to hear that man. You just have no damn luck whatsoever with that car. Best of luck my friend.

Now as far as my P5 goes, I finally got the AWR 88 duro rear mount installed after I couldn't get it last year. An 18" piece of pipe at the end of an 18" breaker bar did the trick and those piece of s*** bolts came off. I've had all solid mounts except for the rear one so far and have had cabin vibrations but the rear mount increased the vibrations three-fold. I would not recommend the mod to anyone that wouldn't be able to stand the vibrations.

I also installed the auto transmission cooler and it seems to work great. The line that came with it was just enough to cut into two perfectly sized pieces but it was really cutting it close. 1" less of the line and I wouldn't have been able to install it.

Everything is set for the turbo build as well so I can't wait until August when I'll be able to finally get it all installed. Oh and I'm also ordering a corksport power series to mate up to the turbo :D

well dropped my car off to have the crap fixed that the last shop broke/lost:rear window, roof rail cap, trim piece, rear door handle, and a very bad paint line........

i offered the shop manager a bottle of whiskey if he fixes it right and i never have to see him again

Well that is a bandpass box, which is a combination sealed and ported box and generally are built to just blat out volume with no care to quality.

A property built ported box can sound as good as a property built sealed box and vice versa. The key word being properly, which means built to a specific volume/port tuning frequency for the particular sub.

Carrying in groceries, and then i was testing out my new LED bulbs, while i was doing it, something happened inside so i ran in to take care of it, not realizing that my lights were still on.

couple hours later i remembered and my car died.
Charged wit for like 10mins got it running then drove to gas station, got a drink came back out, car dies again. Friend come with his sonata and it takes us 40mins to get it running again. drove it for like an hour and come home, turn off the car, turn back on and it dies..... :( While i was driving the voltage levels jumped up high when i drove faster.
My radar was going crazy on the voltage readings. Yesterday sucked
