It's like a television set on a honeymoon: Not necessary.

I don't know where you guys get this stuff from.

If you don't want your ENGINE from SLAMMING into your firewall during power shifting I suggest you get a Lower Engine Mount.

Tranny Mount isn't necessary BUT there have been reports of the OEM failing and causing motor damage as well as the passenger mount.

ETD is more of a support.

I have all three TRZ Lower/Tranny and the Weapon R ETD.

Lower gave the most vibes. I could not notice increased vibes after installing the ETD OR Tranny mount.
Tranny mount does increase in cabin noise as you can hear the gear whine pretty loudly.
One thing I noticed about the ETD is it noticeably improved shifting.

thanks meng, well im getting the CPE engine mount soon cuz our OEM MM sucks... i was just curious if i can just get the weapon R ETD and leave our OEM Lower MM. would be more logical? I always love the looks of the ETD and personally i believe its more easier to install. thanks

if it is a MANDATORY move to switch motor mounts, like our cars do not run or the stock ones fail within 100 miles, then yes do it.

but technically, we do not need them, the mount hold the engine in just fine. yeah the shifting is awfukl with it and they move a hell of a lot...

but we do not absolutely NEED them, at all..

and the mount failing was a recall thats looooonngggggggggggg been fixed.

Did you install all of these at the same time? Did the ETD noticeably improve shifting above and beyond just the motor mount?

I had the CS inserts with the ETD, and this definitely was not good enough. I then upgraded to the Medieval Rear MM and it made everything feel 100% better. I highly suggest a Rear mount to go with the ETD

I installed the lower TRZ mount. Then installed the ETD. Then I installed the Tranny mount. The ETD made a difference on its own.
I would do the Lower first. Not to mention it's only like 100 bucks.

When your motor falls out, wanna know what they replace it with ? Another OEM mount lol.
If you drive like a grandma and don't do hard 1-2 launches,or go WOT, then you don't NEED motor mounts.

The ETD is a nice supporting mod.

If you guys (and girls) are interested in the Weapon R Torque Dampener
maybe I can do a little Group Buy.

I will be getting an Ingalls Stiffy shortly (insert brilliant Kain comment here). My car is being used as a test vehicle so they can get theirs out the door.

i've had the AWR 70 durometer rear mount for awhile and it made a surprising amount of difference in the shifter -- if the addition of an ETD improves shifter action again it's something I may consider.

thanks.

The torque dampeners are a good idea.. i ended up cracking my downpipe from torque.. im using a flex flange now and not dampeners but i'm sure they would be a good buy.

i think im leaning more towards the TRZ dogbone, but i would see after the new mounts in. if u still have wheel hop at a hard launch get the ETD.

there is already a thread about this 10 threads down. I am merging this there
