ive had my speed for about 2 days and every person ive showed the car to thought it was a regular 3 and when i said it was the speed model they had no idea that even existed, i also thought i would get more looks than i do but i guess that could be a good thing(cops) is this just me lol or other people have been told the same thing?

A lot of people don't even know what the difference between a regular civic and an Si is. At least you won't have to worry too much about having ricers pull up alongside you wanting to race

Same thing. People have no idea... but thats cool. You wont get as many tickets, or get your car stolen.
I picked my Speed up about 3 weeks ago. Love it!

ive had both ms3 and ms6 and no body knos what they are lol. im tired of explaing it to my dumb friends, and i can count on one hand the amount of times people have actually known what the difference is. i like it tho, having a car different from everything else out there

I kinda like that people are clueless to the Speed 3 .. Our cars aeent like SRT-4's, Mustang GT's, Cobalt SS's, etc. They look exactly like the 3s hatch, with the exception of the extended rear wing and 10 spoke wheels. Some may say this comment is "Ricer-ish" but I love the fact that its a total sleeper car. Nothing better than to spank some punk ass 18 year old in his civic who thinks hes fast! (upyours)

i actually love when that happens comin from a mustang it happened a lot but i never lost, now they only look at me if there tryin to be cool and take off from a light fast and i pass um up at like 50% throttle lol i'm hoping after i get an exhaust an a BOV more people will no whats up.

Same here. People think it's a regular 3 until they hear my bov then they back off lol. Im planning on keepinp it looking stock. No tinted windows no after market wheels and just mod the s... out of it. I got an idea on what I want to do with the suspension, but keeping it a secrete for now.

funny thing is, you do sometimes get the jackass honda dudes (civics mostly) who will pull along side of you an drop it an rev at you. I usually let the HKS just blow off and they usually stop. kind of funny, its only the dudes in hondas who have some beat ass car who do it. with an injen CAI and the turbo inlet an TBE my cars loud as s***, so its kind of easy to tell she's not a reg 3

ive had regular 3 drivers get next to me and rev at me! but thats when i usually just laugh, roll the window down, and say uhhh im turbo. i get the oh sh*t exclamation and they take off! in agreeance with ur g35 comment, you also get the older guys with their hemi dodges and harley f-150's who want to race all the time!

im only 23 but seriously, why is it that these older middle aged men feel the need to try and show off?? its comical when there 40000 car is red lining trying to keep up as the wife is in the passenger seat with mouth open thinking wtf just happened?!

ya i was also shocked that not many of my friends or people i know knew what the speed3 was. The only people who actually know what the ms3 are people who follow cars a lot. LOL at the civic comment cuz that also has happened to me

Most people I know don't even know about the Japanese manufacturers' tuning divisions. So any talk of "TRD," "Nismo," or "Mazdaspeed" just confuses them.

With very few exceptions, I have gotten very perplexed looks from folks when I tell them it is a Mazdaspeed3. 98% of the time, I have to explain that it's got a beefier suspension, turbo & other goodies from the factory.
