anyone else have the "wife" blues?

yeah, I've basically been paying her bills for the last 6 months... and she's gotten a hard lesson in financial responsibility. She's doing well with it and though its caused fights, We're both better for it. More understanding of each other. The contrast here I failed to mention: My mother doesn't own a single diamond.

That's actually probably good for her. Real world lessons. Can you name names? I may know the surgeon. I get referrals from all over.

I've heard conflicting sides of this, but my belief is that there is no common law mairrage in WI.

well IDK about WI but KS has it, if i remember correctly from class so long ago, it's if both of you are on no less then 5 bills, or signed documents, and have been living at the same address for the past 5 years.

My husband and I have a pretty good budget plan.. we split the bills (mortgage, electric, groceries, insurance, etc) every month, then whatever each of us has left over is our separate money. I have it all laid out on an Excel spreadsheet, he cuts me a check for his half every month, then I put my half in the same account every month. I write the bills out of that account and handle paying them on time, etc. Then with the money that I have after the bills, I can use it for whatever I want and he can use his for whatever he wants, no arguing or asking about what we can/can't buy! :D

LOL I was waiting to see how long it took for one of us Ladies to speak up.

My husband makes most of the money. I just got laid off and I think he is enjoying the nicely cleaned house and very relaxed wife. I don't stop him from doing stuff to his fun car as long as he has the money. The only stipulation I have given him is that before he does any more motor mods to his Pontiac, he has to put at least 2500 miles on it. He has been modding the crap out of it and not driving it or taking it to the track before he makes the next change.

I am a gear head myself but I let him have more of the fun, heck I even sold my motorcycle and bought us a 52" LCD TV for him to play his PS3 on.

can I ship my gf off to you for training? She's got the house cleaning thing down (to an annoying level)... but the rest... please oh please... teach her!

Will you marry me?

dude, no guy is giving that up without a fight.

LOL. Yeah I don't think my husband would let go of me that easy. He has to share his toys with me every now and then, just so that I don't ask for parts for my car. I actually met him through one of the car groups that we still hang out with.
