I just noticed that Corksport has released there air box. But Bad news, they say that it will only fit the corksport air intake. Maybe someone can try this out on the Cobb or CPE. It is only $75 which i think is a good price.

Tell me what you think. Who wants to be the guinea Pig?

Hmm thats pretty sweet... If i had some extra money i would test it out for the mscai in SRI mode.

I'd love to get my hands on a CAB but if Corksport says it won't fit then I'm fairly certain it won't fit. It's not like they don't want to sell more of these.

I bet it won't work but with some simple modification I bet it will fit. I would think that all sri would be in about the same location.

Because they can sell more intakes with them?

But the amount of people with intakes is greater than the people that are looking to buy one.

Though it still could be true, looking to get the people that switch or in the market now for one.

That's one way to look at it but it's way too late in the game to be asking owners of other SRIs to switch to theirs. Well, at least I wouldn't make such a switch just because of a simple CAB. I've already spent over $300 for an inlet and SRI which I am perfectly happy with so spending another $300 on a CS intake and CAB is out of the question.

Maybe someone know someone else with the corksport intake and they can test fit the box on the cobb or CPE and see how close it is.

The whole point is if someone is looking for an intake maybe this will persuade them to go that way and maybe they'll get a few people changing over. As I think has already been seen in another post somewhere it can be retrofitted, but hey it's worth a shot to them. Better than them saying 'go buy whatever intake you want then come back and get our box'

^^
Sure, they MAY get a few ppl to switch intakes just for the privilege of running the CAB but they'll more than likely get MORE ppl who already have intakes to purchase the CAB if it fits other intakes not just the CS. I know I would.

Somebody with a Cobb SRI should buy one, modify it to fit, then fabricate and sell a retrofit kit. If the guys at Corksport don't want to do it, then DIY and take advantage of the business opportunity. This has to be relatively straight forward if you ask me and for $75 it's not that much money to find out.

tough to imagine this doing much. If you look at the picture it's basically an enclosure with an open front, allowing air in from the headlight area, where there's hardly a spec of unheated, ambient air finding it's way through the bodywork and lights. Unless there's a hose off the bottom routed to the fenderwell, where some colder air actually is, this is just a filter cover.
