What have you done to your P5 today?

anyone looking to do an axle replacement on a 100K mile P5 has this to look forward to: (see pics below)

Tools used: impact with 14mm and 17mm, pry bars, torque wrench etc...

most critical tool needed: BFH - Big F-ing Hammer

2 days later with a destroyed lower ball joint, destroyed tie rod end... she's back together. I dont recommend this to anyone!

a $10 ball joint separator would have done you wonders it sounds like... FWIW, you don't *have* to pull the spindle to do the axle.

I once had a similar experience changing axles on a Honda Accord, and swore never to do it again, on our little 323 I had both axles installed with a lifetime warranty for 300 bucks, and as far I am concerned it was money well spent. 323 has now been replaced with a P5.

Just got home from my weekend out of town and had a note on the door, ups tried to deliver my bc's. :-( I will get them from the UPS office tomrorow... Then I will figure out the length of the bolts in the rear top had and see if theycan be changed so we can use the GT tower bar with it..

if you're selling all that stuff to do something better, I cringe when I think of what that something new is... There are some AMAZING parts in that thread of yours.

I'm doing something more realistic; decent NA build, paint work and interior/audio upgrades.

Oh ok I got ya. I thought you meant like you were one-upping the performance of the car. lol.

If I was out of college right now, I'd prolly buy almost every single thing in that thread. Best of luck man. You've always been one of my favorite sellers on this forum. (cool)

Ordered up some new decals today from jackelope. I'm not a decal kind of guy but these are gonna be nice. Can't wait to get em.

Also, I snagged an HKS SSQV from Bala's massive part out thread. Just gotta send the payment... This damn turbo setup is gonna run me into the ground but I gotta make sure to do it right.

I'll give one hint. It will give it away, but it means you're gonna have to search.
