Hold on there a sec....K1s are forged AL and are not comparable to stock rods

and as LW has explained, a long rod (which is avail from K1) would even further increase reliability
Agreed on the long rod, but unless the mass of the forged K1s is less then that of the stockers, there is no point in getting them since weight is more of a killer at high RPM then tensile strength, unless someone can show me otherwise. If so, then I would definitely consider the K1s as they are quite cheap.

balance is just as critical as actual mass in high RPM applications... adding a few grams for a forged piece would be worth it in my book. you could recover the weight in the flywheel, and then some...

FW is in the mail ;)
And the point isn't the rotating mass killing performance, it's the forces created from the mass spinning at crazy RPMs which will blow up your engine. The acceleration forces are mind boggling and you want less mass before more strength at higher RPMs...
Again, if someone knows the weight of a stock rod and/or the weight of a stock K1, post up and if the K1 is lighter, I'll buy...

Bummer! I needed some 2" piping.. If you don't need all of it, please let me know, I might still be interested. I need some for intercooler piping for my T25 on a 99 protege 1.6L.

Don't know if anyone needs it, but there is a lot of 10 3" mandrel bent piping on ebay for 53 shipped. I just bought their lot of 10 in the 2". Good for someone looking to do a 3" exhaust??? I dunno

I have heard good things about those seats just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. also there is no brackets for the protege on those seats so you have to fab up your own.

yeah, somebody's gotta be running a pressure plate in that class they could resurface when theirs lets go... could easily turn that around for $100... lol

I was watching that clutch, just wasn't sure since it says on the ACT site that it has harsh engagement and some chatter.. but I guess it would be fine for racing, I just like my car to be a DD.
