If you are going to get some. Just get the Rally Armor Universal ones.

Fresh new rods for my rebuild is freaking awesome! However, I'll let the pistons go for cheap if you want them as I'm getting high compression pistons for my build...

I was just going to resell them on here...I have been watching them for quite some while...lol...

No...I was going to buy the whole thing...rods and pistons and sell them on here...I tried to up the bid again, but ran out of time...

I must say though, that was a great deal...glad someone on here got them...
 
Ya I figured you would have which is why I put mine so high. Thing is, I will actually use these for my build (minus the pistons), so I'm glad I didn't have to pay too much (even though I would have paid a lot less without you trying to make a quick buck ;)).
And Ken is already shipping me a couple of grand worth of parts, so these should drop right in there :)

Oh u didnt get them? now i feel better to say why there was no competition. If someone wud go through the work of putting new rods in, they wud get something better to put back in.
 
There is no point (that makes financial sense) to put something crazy in my build. But I feel great knowing I'm getting rods that have no fatigue, no stress point, and no issues whatsoever when I rebuild my engine :)
 
If i were you i would get get some cheap k1's and then you would have a forged motor. where peoples builds really add up is the machining cost of having all of the work done, what is another 300 bucks to have a forged motor.
 
because I will never see boost, and K1s will break just about as easily as stock ones when it comes to RPMs. They would actually be a detriment since they would be heavier then stock, which is NOT good when you're running 7000+ rpms...otherwise I'd be all over it.
 
Hold on there a sec....K1s are forged AL and are not comparable to stock rods

and as LW has explained, a long rod (which is avail from K1) would even further increase reliability
