Need some help, NOOB here.

Hey, I've been searching but can't find this answer.
What exactly do the stages mean?
Stage 1
Stage 2
Stage 3
I believe they are levels of modifications but what defines each number? I have a stock MS3 but with a MS CAI added. What would that be considered? I have a Cobb AP coming, then what would it be considered?
I'm lost!

i think each stage can be for alot of different parts. i dont think u can be like a stage 1 modder if u have an intake. the stages are for like clutches and turbo and superchargers and stuff like that. i think each stage is for how much power it is set up to hold. but dont hold me to this. scince im a show car lol. this could be all right...half right ... or all bs...but it sounds right to me.. that prolly didnt help

It's a ricer way of bragging about their mods. Stages are groups of mods. The higher the number means more mods.

Stages are the lazy ass way of describing whats done to the car.

There are no such things as "stages"...."stages" are for people who are too dumb to know what parts they actually have..or too embarassed to actually say...one of the two. Sounds like someone has been spending too much time playing Gran Turismo.

honestly....the way i see it, it makes more sense if there are stages for particular equipment like clutch or specific software tuning, but not just "stage x" for the entire car. and that's only if the same company offers the same item but better models

ie....clutches. if one company makes 3 different clutches that all offer different power holding amounts (400, 500, 600 hp), i would be fine with someone saying they have a "stage 2 clutch from _____". those items can only be done 1 at a time.

when you start seeing things like "stage3" as an emblem on the back of an srt4, that's when it's just dumb. people try to use "stage" as a generic term and say their cold air intake is the stage 2 on their car or something
