Mine was probably in that middle ground region. It was probably molested, then they realized it wasn't much, so they de-tuned back to stock until they were able to trade it in on a GTI (I say GTI because I bought mine from a VW stealership).

$10k will buy you a mint MSP. Trust me, you get what you pay for with these things. I paid $9,500 for mine and got probably one of the top 5% of all MSPs left unmolested...

I paid 12,000 for mine (taxes tags and titles included) but it was semi mint except for a few small rock chips and some scrapes on the bottom of the front lip, but it was low miles. but yeah you get what you pay for

I guess I have the ultimate test on how the car is today cause its at the shop getting inspected as we speak. This is a really good shop that is gonna go over the car with a fine tooth comb. Hopefully my money was well spent!

without knowing the MSP you could go over one very carefully and miss a lot...
