Brabham E92 M3 (BT92)

Why? It looks to me like they are pretty dang close. All but the price. I would expect the BMW to look a whole lot better seeing it cost two times as much. But the fact is that it doesn't. The lines in the SS looks just as good along with the surface.

I am sure the interior of the Camaro is no where near the BMW's. I drive two BMW newer 3 series and the interior in them is better than anything GM has.

Interior quality is pretty tough to judge in a picture. It's sort of one of those things you have to sit in, feel, and see in person. I might have even been able to make the interior of my '06 Grand Cherokee look good in a picture. (dunno)

DING DING DING DING! We have a winner!
That was my point. The SS isn't even out and people are already calling it cheap and what not. Yet they are only doing so by pictures. While GM doesn't put as fine of materials in their cars as say BMW, we don't know exactally what they use or how well it will hold up. So far, from what I have see it looks really good.

I'm not judging the Camaro yet. I've seen good and bad interiors out of GM lately. The Challenger, on the other hand... I haven't seen a Chrysler interior that I'd choose to live with in a looooong time.

Having sat in the SS at the detroit auto show I can say first hand that the materials used in the interior are really pretty poor. All those fancy gauges in the lower center console were already loose and rattling when I sat in it, (first weekend it was open to the public). The rest of the interior is very hard, cheep plastic with a couple sections of mismatched leather. I wasn't expecting it to be the best interior ever but it fell very short of my low expectations.

Later that same day I was able to sit in an M3 and can definitely say there is no comparison. Even between the cadillacs I sat in and BMW GM doesn't come close on interior quality.
