You'll always here a lot of good things from the KYB salesperson about KYB products, that's their job. I put KYB struts on my Accord and they were softer than my stock struts with 150k miles on them. I took them back off after the first day. I only use Tokico now.

Just an FYI, the P5 OEM struts are KYB. KYB are OE for quite a few manufacturers.

That doesn't mean oem P5 struts = gr2. Kyb could have valved the oem struts to mazda specs, which could be superior to gr2's. Who knows?

This is true. I just see too many comments saying that KYB struts are junk, when they are actually an OES, not some off-brand.

Yeahm KYB and Tokico supply probably 50% of the worlds car manufacturers. Tons of cars spec them oem.

I've got a set of GR2's and have not noticed any difference from the stock struts.

Good to know. I've gotten conflicting info on the Tokicos, some say they're good with stock springs, some say they need aftermarket springs. It can't go both ways. I strongly suspect the HP's would overdamp stock springs.
