Thinking hard about replacing my MS3 with...

Dude, if you want to continue to ignore the fact that these engines were developed as a joint venture between Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai, that's fine, but it doesn't make it any less true.

This is the GEMA website.

Read up if you still don't believe me.

i dont. i argued the same as you. with a srt4, nissan, and mitsu guys. and i was wrong(in thinking the srt4 motor and its variants wass a mitsu motor)

did some research and found i was infact wrong. that its not a mitsu motor. that its a chrysler motor

but imma let it go

yes, 50large for a GT500 is rediculous, more-so when it isn't really a limited production car, it seems (there are two in my neighborhood)... and having ridden in one, i guess i thought it should have been faster. i think the new ZO6 would KILL one of these... but those are way out of our price range for the original poster.....

the 135 is kinda cool. i bet it is a great car.

i look at the new camaro, and it really would look good in a nice dark green like my old '70SS nova... if it's a muscle car you want.. i think this and the challenger would serve very well. i saw an SRT-8 in a parking lot the other day, and if the looks go with the horsepower and performance... that has got to be a BRUISER. they should have called it a 'cuda, but i bet they are saving that one.. hehehehe...

i like the 425hp hemi (that isn't lost on old guys, believe me, even if this motor has nothing in common)... hmmmmm reminds me of some other mopar i once rode in.....

and who cares how it handles? a '69 camaro or 'cuda handled for crap compared to what they make these days... trust me. but a 440/HEMI 'cuda or roadrunner was not something to be messed with at a stoplight... hehehe

it is actually VERY slow haha i drove one at my work.(i work valet) and it was not fast at all

This reminds me never to use valet parking. So, was there a 1/4 mile track on the way from the front door to the garage?

the z06 kills any mustang.

lol, there might be some GT500 guys that would use that as fighting words. Dude, those gt500's easily get passed 700 whp without any rebuilds or anything. I think there are a few 1000 whp gt500 on streetfire that are not even maxing out there potential.

Honestly, if I was road course racing on the weekends, it would be a vette hands down, anything other than that, give me the gt500. You drive that down the street and everybody knows you got something serious, with the vette though, people seem to care less cause they see so many and most people can't tell the difference between a c6 or a z06.

very true. im a mustang fan because of my mom. mom and step father are ford people.

nothing beats the sound of a mustang V8. i have always hated vettes until the C6 (Z06)

ford needs to get the mustang back to its racing heritage.

i dont think anyone can tell the differnce between any of the mustangs. there are so many types. i wouldnt waste money on a GT500.

id rather have a TT Z06

Now a ZR-1.... I bet no one would mistake that for a regular C6

This thread is rhetorical since it sounds like you already have a horse in this race and need justification.

I guarantee 99% of people on the road either don't know what a ZR-1 is or can distinguish it from any other C6 (or C5, for that matter).

actaully i have seen this black one a few times and its hard to tell the difference between it and a z06.

only way i knew it was a ZR-1 after seeing it was that i thought "damn chrome wheels are gay, whoa, the z06 doesnt have chrome wheels and theere was the lame glass panel on the hood"

im a car guy and it was hard for me to distinguish it from a c6 Z06.

Nope. Not looking for justification. Just opinions... And of course I already have a strong opinion on this. I am really just curious what others would pick.

When I saw a ZR-1 in DC (stood next to it), it looked nothing like a regular C6 to me. So... since you are pulling random stats out of your ass, I will say that 99% of the people have never seen a ZR-1 in person....

I didn't know Chevy made a TT ZO6. Is that already out?

they dont. im saying i would rather have a z06 and TT it than to buy a high strung ZR-1.

and i think what kain is saying, just like porsches, most cant tell the difference between vettes and its variants like people cant tell the difference between 911's, or mustangs.

but a ZR-1 would mos def slip pass you and you would think it was a Z06. i can say that much

laffo. I'm just following up on your assertion that you "bet no one" would confuse a ZR-1 for a regular C6. NO ONE. I too also saw the ZR-1 at the DC Auto Show earlier this month and you're going to tell me in that setting that everyone in attendance immediately thought "ZR-1"? Now, try to extrapolate that in a public street setting with the car in motion, surrounded by thousands of drivers who wouldn't know an oil cap from a 710 cap (let alone attend an auto show), and not a single person there would confuse the ZR-1 for any old C6, either?
