Thinking hard about replacing my MS3 with...

...the new 2010 Camaro 2SS. I really like (but don't love) the look. 422 HP isn't anything to be upset about either... All for under 35K.

Runner-ups:

135i (The most expensive one of the group....)
Genesis Coupe (Nice, but a little slower than the MS3)
2010 MS3 (If it had a better / bigger engine or AWD... It would have been #1)

Any thoughts? Is there another car I missed that I should consider? Nothing used... I just don't trust them.

370Z it does 4.7 to 60, 13.3 in the 1/4, .96 lateral Gs. Beat the 335i in every area, all for around 35K.

...but it only comes with 2 seats, which is a deal-breaker for many.

I've got a soft spot for the 135i, but that's mostly because it was the car I really wanted when I bought my MS3 (unfortunately I needed a car last December - my old car was totaled - and I couldn't wait until the 1 series was released to purchase one).

Now that I've got the MS3, I'm probably going to hold onto it until it's paid off (Dec. '11 at the very latest) and then re-assess based on what's out there when it comes time to buy...

Yeah, I was waiting for the 135i as well coz that engine is to die for but after it was finally released in Canada, I couldn't justify the price (cars up here cost more than in the US) so I went back to check out the MS3. I actually considered the MS3 back in '07 but it was only offered in True Red which I did not want so I held off and was pleasantly surprised that they offered more colours in '08 and got me a CWP.

i vote for the infiniti g37.
same engine as the 370z but more comfortable ride.
if you don't mind a stripper model (eg, no nav), you could get it for under $30k.

Actually I accidently mixed that number with an Aston Martin's skid pad in a Motortrend article. They actually achieved a .99 for the 370Z. Car And Driver posted a .98 for the Z.

The OP didn't specify wanting more than two seats, hence I suggested the 370Z, which I believe is a wicked car!

I'd go with the genesis coupe..........2.0T and rear wheel drive?? The only deal breaker for me is the lack of leather...otherwise I would seriously consider it.

212 hp on a 3500 lb coupe is not going to be fun. I think it will be quite slow actually.

yep, i would rather get the V6 over the 2.0T and wait for a TT kit to be made. but 370z oover all.

that car is gorgeous in my opinion and FAST. .99 skid pad. and i bet we will see stockers in high 12's

I hope you don't have a long commute, your gas $$$ is going to kill you. No doubt it would be fun, at least in a straight line. Don't know much about how it handles in the twisty's...

Genesis Coupe has a lot of potential, the turbo version that is. But, that will not happen due to the lack of aftermarket modifications for it. Besides that, it has a lot of nice features you got to love.
