I put my org post in the P5 thread. So i will make it simple im need help choosing my p5 has 71000 on it and i want to know what the VA guys think. So should i put some forged rods and pistons new wp and all that jazz in it this all wont be complete to around May/June or should i gets me a bike if the bike it will be a 600cc bike (new to the whole bike world) if i get a bike the car will be left as is and yes the car is paid off.

If you're getting your first bike, I suggest you get something small to learn on first. Just hoping on a 600 or 1000 is a good way to kill yourself. I have been facing the same problem though, should I turbo or get a bike? I have decided bike.

I would say the car. I know the bike is fun as hell and faster than the p5 would ever be probaly but unless you live in the desert you only have the ability to ride it half the year.

build the car... it'll be cheaper than the build. well depends on how much you do yourself and what bike and how old it is.

I say bike. I want a bike myself, but Im not getting one until I purchase a house, so that I can put it in the garage.

yea i have been thinkin about insurance and maintenance im dont know i wanna do both someone loan me money

Bike over Build.
And a 600 Is plenty of bike and yet forgiving to learn on if you are disiplined.
Anything smaller you will likely outgrow very shortly and will be bike shopping again.

Build over bike man. Too many people are driving distracted nowadays which increases your chance of getting an ambulance ride to the ER. Plus, the P5 is more practical.

im going for bike, which im getting with my tax return

I think thats what im gonna do also found a couple bikes already went to a shop to today to see how much it would cost to for the engine build i was quoted at a lil over 3,000 not including parts. so close to 5,000 damn near a new bike. Just gotta see what my sked is like and sign up for a class in VA MD wont let me transfer over a motorcycle license.

3k? You could probally buy an engine already built for that amount. Check SU or PG and see if you can get quotes.

Yeah man the guy at the this place was like it would prolly be cheaper to just buy the engine and then have them put it in, in their shop. Only thing with that is my car still wont be all that fast for the amount of money spent on it. Plus it would be my DD so i dont know im leaning more towards the bike.

Thing is, how fast you want your car to go and what goals are you trying to reach with the car?? lol

i would like to have a reliable 230-250whp daily driven car possibly more must sames like a bike would be the best bet for the money i would be spending to get the car to that point
