Step back y'all. I've taught high school students who've had to learn english as a second language - it's hard. English is a really weird language (I also speak french and german), and the original poster's point is valid: we are spoiled here in the states since learning one language is enough. It's really frustrating to know you're more lingually skilled than most Americans, and yet still get busted on for "engrish." So understand that his common frustration with that lazy American attitude of "speak MY language or leave" is viewed universally with extreme contempt by other countries in the world.

That said, to the original poster, you're not going to get far with "**** America." The frustration is valid, but several did try to genuinely help. I had no issue with reading your post, since it was actually quite good compared with many I had to read and grade. Perhaps a short sweet apology, and we can all put this to bed?

im not defending the op comments about america because at least he had the chance to come to the US and have an opportunity for a better future etc etc, but when he first posted the first replied he received was making fun of his grammar. i can see why is he frustrated, there's no need to make fun of the op or anyone else for that matter, some of you here are really ******* assholes when you want to, thats why i keep my posting to a minimum here.

Funny, my wife travels the world for business and has found that most countries, especially european, ignore you if you're not speaking their language well. But again, the US is expected to be different.

this is also true, but alot of the other countries also speak english, Ive been to several while I was in the military, I was also stationed in germany and knew hardly any german and was able to get along with no problem.

and in a way we are different, we are the only country that dont use the Metric system.

But then again this is the United States, it wouldn't b if there wasn't someone always trying to start something, or someone thinking they are better then someone else. Nowadays its the basis of the country, wars are started and fought because someones way of life isnt good enough for others, or someone different moves up in life and is trying to make something of themselves but its just not right because others dont think it is

Why the hell does everyone refer to the U.S. like its "America". America is two continents, north and south, They hold more than one country, you should try "The U.S." or "United states". A little Grammer, and a little fact correction all in one:D

And most folks here ignored this guy. "GO away until you can write this properly."

And in Europe, you're ignored if its their language you speak unwell, same here. If you speak english, they will converse pleasantly in English (I travel frequently to present in conferences there). I learned French in high school, German in college, and its GRATING on your ears to hear some business **** say "je voudrais le poulet" at the restauraunt, but it comes out "jeh voo dray luh pullet" and they think they're clever.

And when I say "business ****" I meant it generically, I don't mean your wife - on editing I could see how it would be misconstrued. It's usually dumbass executive men who cheat on their exams and somehow get promoted.

I would want them to show me exactly where the screw hit the line. They would have to put it on a lift and how me. I have been under my car numerous times and I have never seen any line running anywhere near there. The only thing I can think of under that seat is the exhaust pipe and it's more to the center but does bend a bit towards the passenger seat.

However, I really can't remember any other lines or wires running under there. Maybe I'm wrong as I never really looked for any but I don't believe I am. Normally they run lines like that up and under the frame of the car. This helps protect them from accidental damage from stuff on the road coming up and hitting important pipes and such.

If your screw did hit the line, then you would be responsible for the work related to the EVAC issue but you should not be liable for the other one as IAT has nothing to do with EVAC as they were able to fix the other code with the EVAC still having an issue so the other code and all work related in on them.

Try going to Paris and speak bad French. It's worse than trying to get help in a busy deli in NY. They will treat you like total crap. Hell I have a friend from France who is from Toulouse France who says that when she goes to Paris they treat her like crap just due to her accent. Some cities/countries in Europe are just asses.

The US is the only country I have been in that visited that had people working in customer service positions that can't speak English. Just to go any 7-11 in CA and ask for something uncommon and sit there for 10m trying to explain it to Habeeb behind the counter. It's frustrating as hell. Hell most places in the bay area now have people working customer service jobs that can't speak English good enough to answer most questions. It just amazes me.

But I digress as this is off topic :)

not only in CA come to miami and 90% of the business here is mostly spanish, not only that when i was in miami dade comunity college i had a teacher that you could hardly understand a freaking word he was saying, i dont agree with that. what bothers me is that you ask some of these people why they haven't learn at least basic english, let them learn spanish, thats the answer i get most of the time.

you guys are dumb. half of americans can't speak english well. this is a car forum and majority of the time i see posts like this. 247 = Honda-Tech.

That's been true for ages; the arrogant Frogs treat all foreigners the same way. I say:
Nuke 'Em Till They Glow

Damn Im gone for a few days and Im treated to this sorry ass thread... for the bunch of you who much rather bash him for his poor grammar FU and the high horse you rode in... you bash him post after post and then are upset because he lashed back... priceless!

To the OP - just because a few grammar police (who prob. couldnt add 2+2) give you crap doesnt give you the moral authority to scream FU America - if you think this country is all about money and trully feel it should go fudge itself then FU -take your 3 languages and row the boat back to where you came from.. you are the reason why so many immigrants get a bad rap...

Next time keep your damn insults to those who are giving you grief cus your large painbrush as to what America is is driping in uneducated stereotypes - the same type that you are so indignantly bitchin about... two wrongs dont make a right -

I kinda showed my arse a bit in my last post, and I should apologize somewhat. But it had nothing to do with the OP's lack of English skills. What I object to is the "**** America" attitude. I just hope that was simply a moment of frustration by the OP, and not his true atittude towards our country. (And yes, "America" can refer to 2 entire continents, but we all know what he meant, as "America" usually refers to the United States of America when used colloquially.)

I was raised at West Point (you know, the big military academy), and we had a lot of families from other countries move in & out over the years. I know how tough it can be for people to adjust, not only to a new language, but a new culture. I try never to harass anyone about their spelling & grammar if they are not native English speakers.

Now, the horrific abuse of the English language by most native speakers is another issue altogether. No wut I mean, d00d? Defiantly.
