Dealer unwilling to do TSB without reproducing?

Customer and dealer is supposed to be partners in taking good care of the vehicle. I'm happy with my dealer. Have my change oil with them, bought my winter tires.. and other add-ons. I mentioned the rear crunching sound last summer, they say bring it in and they did the tsb without needing to listen to the noise.

The techs should be sales oriented. Always looking forward to the customer's next purchase when he/she has extra money.

It does not have to be a challenge everytime a car owner brings the vehicle in to get fixed.

it doesnt always have to be but in my case its the only mazda dealer in the area and it happens to be litteraly less than a 5 minute drive it doesnt hurt to be firm with a dealership about what your looking for...dont let them ease you into doing things their way

We arent the usual automobile owner that they encounter on a daily basis,we are all enthusiasts, some more than others
and considering that a decent number of us have some type of modification done to our car(s) and some have the Mazdaspeed vehicles which are seen has the top model so to speak we are always goin to have the bottom hand when it comes to dealing with service because they will always clame driver abuse

Here is a list of the calibrations for this perticular TSB. Tell your dealer that you will continue to bring it in until lemon buys the car back (3 repair visits with out being repaired for the same concern) If it were my dealership i woudl do it, it pays easy money

dealer unwilling to do TSB

Had the same problems at my local dealer an the engine stumble. Originally took it in with 35900 miles and reported the jerk and told them I didn't know if it was the engine or transmission. They couldn't reproduce the problem and said it was OK, recommended a transmission flush which I passed on. I found the TSB later and took it back at 39000 a couple of weeks ago and dropped it off with a copy of the TSB. Service rep. called me back and said they still couldn't reproduce the problem and if I wanted them to perform the reprogram I'd have to pay since it was out of warranty. I strongly protested mentioning a had already brought it in under warranty. They argued about semantics because the service rep. wrote it up as possibly coming out of gear the 1st time I took it in, even though I mention the engine as well. He tried to say it was a separate issue After a long discussion on the phone he said he would have to check with some kind of regional service manager. He called me back later and had gotten the OK to perform the TSB under warranty. I also tried to get the TSB done on the suspension noise in could weather (I bought the car used in April and we just had our first sub 20 degree weather) but they wouldn't do it because it hadn't been reported prior to the 36000 mile warranty. Is this correct on getting TSB done even thought it is known issue?(protest)

Have you tried a different...

... dealer? Contact Mazda USA as well. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Go get silicone grease for the bushings. That TSB doesn't fix it. The urethane bushings will make noise in the cold.
