Anyone tried Corksport's SRI?

:
11 MS3 Sport
I was glancing at Corksport's website since I love the way their exhaust sounds, and i'm very happy with my CS MM inserts.

Then I seen what seemed like a perfect option for me. Their SRI! It's a short ram, with an AEM dryflow filter.

So..what's the cons then? I mean, if everyone wanted a short ram intake so bad and didn't want to wait for Cobb, why not get this? I can see already it doesn't have any visible air straightners, but besides that, anyone have any experience with it?

I figured people hadn't seen it before because I hadn't heard nothing about it, nor did I find anything in search.

Couldn't tell ya where the recirc line is..

we have it listed on the front page of our site, as well as the cpe nano now as well. whats nice about the corksport is that it includes the inlet tube and goes all the way to the turbo.

Which is exactly something that people on the other forum were wondering why CP-E didn't just include.

Ken, did you just recently get this intake? Is it new?

This would honestly be the best option for me since I wanted an AEM dryflow filter anyhow. Question is...where's the air straightner?

i may be mistaken, but i believe from the look of the picture that the MAF housing is the ATP model.

not to crowd the market, but we have our own version hitting the street within a week

So I wonder if they're going to contribute to the thread? I PM'd them the link.

I may just end up getting this instead of I can't get my hands on a used MSCAI. Really really want that dryflow filter, and the CS SRI seems to be the best overall setup i've seen in a while!

I've just recieved and mounted the Corksport SRI... Install was, well quite a PITA but thats more down to my lack of propper tools, and experience.

First impression seems to be on par with what I've read about every other SRI: noise and some added urge at the top end. The factory BPV makes a nice not-even-remotely-ricer-BOV sound now. Idle is nice, seems to have dropped 50-100 rpm, but that might just be my eyes fooling me.

The kit seems fine, overall finish is ok - and the instructions are enough - although its gonna be much more enjoyable if I ever do this a second time... silly little clips and such.

And now I've seen ma' turbo naked ;)...

I installed the intake a few days ago. Install was kindof a pita, but I assume any turbo inlet will be. Btw, be careful with the wastegate solenoid as uhateit snapped off his connector. I had my wastegate solenoid inlet bent at 90 degrees and had to drill out my also bent mounting tab. Besides that, it does the job. Didn't notice any performance or sound increase, but I was also removing my old ets 3.5 tmic in the process, so I wouldn't see more performance. It's nice for the price though!
