for a couple days i felt the car stuttering and not runing right, also the car was not holding boost at all at higher rpms, took it right to my friend at ocean mazda he plug the computer in and what do you know, misfire in all 4 ******* cylinders, man im getting tire already with this car theres always something up with car, plus the limited tunning available, im starting to regret selling my s/c gt for this. had anyone else encountered this problem ? or im the lucky one. the tech ordered four new coils for the plugs, im running denso spark plugs. can misfire cause the car not to hold boost at higher rpms?
even with the custom beta 103v map for a gt2871 turbo set at 18psi is not holding it pass 5000rpm it falls back big time, im thinking of going a different route.

maybe all that power you're putting to the ground is causing it to have problems?

at least you're being covered under warranty! =)

what kind of misfire are they? or was that info not apparent. there are only so many things you need to have combustion, and those are air, fuel, spark, and compression. when you find out which one(s) is(are) the problems(s) only then can you determine the fix.

you have a lot of extra stuff done that your car was never enginered for, so everyhing needs to be tuned together correctly. you can't really hate the car, it's only doing what you tell it to

I don't want to sound like a dick or anything, but you are doing some serious modifications; don't you expect that you will run into trouble? If you left the car unmodified, or just did the standard I/E mods you would probably have very little to complain about.

+1

i would tend to think if you are misfiring, then there is something not sending the proper signal... MAF or something like that.

problem fixed, big time vacum leak but now the car is running much better, but still we need better tunning to get the most out of this big turbos.

tell you what guys i finally found what was keeping my car from holding 18psi,19psi, aven 20 psi almost until redline. when i swapped to the gt2781r i was having mad boost cut in the higher gears so i purchased a boost cut defender but still the problem persisted. i upgraded the fuel pump and got the ap and cristian send me a veta map103v for a gt2781r 93 oct at 18psi, the boost cut dissapeared but the car really never hold any boost when reaching close to 5000rpm. today while i was at the freaking dentist i get a call from david at ocean mazda and he goes, dude i found why your car is not holding boost at so and so rpms, i go why? we never took off the boost cut defender off, i took it off and got in the car for a quick drive MANNNNNNNNNNN is holding close to 20psi almost near redline, im definately happy with the ap and the map i got from cristian at cobb. i going back to dyno the car again i should be close to 350 fwhp now.
