Maybe this bumper from ProtegeGarage? I'l have to see if it's ABS or fiberglass....Not a huge fan of fiberglass.

that is why....park from the farthest spot where nobody would want to park, and if someone does happen to park there...they must love their car too..or enjoy walking far

that bumper is fiberglass, it was in a huge thread a few months ago.

Your loss in the parking lot would be "collision" not comp. So hopefully your deductible is low. Unless you bought the OEM endorsement for your policy or its included in your policy language, they will put on LKQ (like/kind/quality) or used/refurbished parts, which cost less than a brand new oem bumper would. You may need to check on your policy first. Chances are, if your deductible for collision is $500 and you dont have the oem endorsement, a bumper would probably run about the same as your deductible which would be pointless in filing the claim.

sorry for all the jargon, I am a car insurance material damage claims adjuster so i see this everyday.

i feel your pain man. i have had that happen once with my MSP and twice with my MS3. one of the times with my MS3 their tow hitch went through my bumper so i got to rock a big hole on mine.

I got a nasty ding in my door a few weeks ago. Its big too . . . like someone took a baseball and threw it at my door. MAN I WAS PISSED

If it's a sizable dent, it may actually be someone trying to break into your car. You know, the infamous Mazda3 door lock problem of a few years back.

I feel your pain man. I came out of my girlfriends house and found my front passenger side fender smashed in with a letter on the windshield. Her neighbors friend dropped a cabinet on my car by accident. Insurance is taking care of it. But it sucks...it happened a week before my photoshoot!!!! WTF?! Could be much worse though.

was this at a large gym? Possible camaras in the parking lot??

I don't know who it was. More than likely I'll never find out to be honest. I filed a calim and will have an adjuster out son to look at it. They said I'd have a check within a few days for the damage so I'll consider options after they look at teh damage. With the tear in it I think they'll have to replace the whole thing. If that happens I'll throw in some extra money and either get the Corksport style on the AutoExe bumper.

I do this every time I go to a mall or shopping center. Not-so-funny story: years ago a co-worker bought a brand new Dodge pickup to replace the elderly one he'd had for years. Parked it way out in the lot at the Civic Center. Some wizard cutting across the lot managed to hit it square on at about 45 mph. Sometimes you just can't win...

I was actually parked in a very uncommon spot. Not far away so much but somewhere that other cars didnt' really need to be near mine. s*** just happens that's all. An update for the curious people out there. It was assessed to replace trhe whole front bumper for the tune of a bit over $400. All said and done the guy estimated the high $700s for everything. Minus my deductible of course. I'm going to deal with it during salt adn ice season adn get a nice replacement when the spring hits.

Yeah it does look like a tow hitch imprint. Man how unlucky sorry to hear about that. I got a nasty ding in my door a few weeks ago. Its big too . . . like someone took a baseball and threw it at my door. MAN I WAS PISSED

My other 3 got a top-to-bottom dent about 2 inches deep on the driver side door. It almost looks like someone kicked the door in.
