I can see people "pimping their ride" on escalades, etc which arent known for "handling and sportiness" - Im even ok with the ricerocket crowd sticking big ass loud exhausts and a wing and claiming speed gains(usually kids with a low budget and all show) but their base rides are econoboxes - its ok cus they make me smile when I see them (yes they are funny as hell)

I do NOT get nor will I ever get nor do I find them funny - my first reaction is pitty for the engineers who labored over the cars and for the car itself.. Im talking about the M3's, the Audi S4's, the European "sport packaged" sedans (not your base 328 but your M3s, not your A4 but your S4) for which you pay a hefty premium for handling and performance only to have idiots put 22inch rims that stick out 4 inches past the fender and scrape the crap out of the sides... worst part is people think they are being stared at for how "cool" they are... no you idiot Im staring at you cus I cant believe darwin hasnt caught up with you....WTF would you pay the extra money for "performance" if your gonna fudge it up as soon as you drive it out of the lot....

Sorry had to vent.. I almost rear ended an idiot on a S4 with tires that stuck out 4 inches out of fender and who was driving 55 on the fast lane prob cus any faster and the cam on the damn tires would cause them to come off...

well i've seen fixed up audi's with tires/wheels that stick out only because of the offset....but i can't recall seeing s4's or m3's with 20+ sized rims sticking out.....

I agree, just the other day I saw an RS4 with some wide ass mothers in the wheel wells. from a far I thought it was one of those infamous 300C's with the D's that stick out into the other lanes of traffic. anyways, it had a roof rack on the top as well = mid-life crisis IMO.

Today's average 20 something male has never had to DO anything remotely mechanically inclined for themselves, and have no capable male role models when growing up. hold on now bro. That is a little biased and un-thought comment you made there. Number one, I'm one of those "average 20 something males" and I have had to do many thing mechanically inclined in my life time. My dad's always been the provider for my family, which ment while he was at work, and something at the house broke, I had to fix it. Anything from a hole in the wall, to wiring up a new light in the workshop, to fixing the mower when It broke. Sure there are alot of rich spoiled brats around my age who have had to do nothing more then breath in their life time. This is just the 4th time today someone older then me has talked down to my generation. And it's only 10am. Your comment about "Skillz" and dope friends is very subjective, and from my point of view, must be based off little or no intellectual fore-thought. Honestly, my view of your comment is the same as if you where to say don't give black people good service because they don't tip, or pay mexicans $1/hr becuase they don't know the value of a dollar and only know how to work.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is don't say things about the people you inhabit the world with unless you know their whole story. History has been scarred many times in the past becuase of prejudice and pre-disposed thoughts of one Another. If you ain't got anything good to say, just keep it to yourself.

to add onto that, those 20-somethings have parents that (if they were into cars) had american muscle like a challenger, chevelle, mustang gt, trans am, whatever. and more than likely all their parents talk about american muscle being the best thing ever strayed them away (like how a strict father ends up producing a daughter that becomes a prostitute or stripper). so now the kid thinks that the best car ever is something imported. and somehow it became a known law that louder exhaust = faster, and stock rims are for shame. and you have to stray away as far as you can with your '93 CRX from your moms '93 CRX by adding infamous "SIR" badges, wings suitable for boeng airbus, and camber so bad that neighborhood cats sleep between the outside tread and the asphault when it rains so they have shelter.
