TWM shifter bushings

:
2004 Subaru WRX STI
I just put these in today. This was my second mod so far. First was the CS motor mount inserts. I have to say for the money these two mods are hard to beat. The car shifts a hundred times better than when I got it. TWM FTW!:)

right there with ya! I just put my bushings in yesterday and also have cs inserts. Now I just need to find the right bpv...

I just ordered a set. After the drastic improvement I felt from the CS MM inserts, I decided to do another cheap mod to tighten up my drivetrain.

You have the CS Inserts or the TRZ you list in your sig.?

Also, I did the bushings first, drove my car and then did the short shifter. You need both along with the MM (I have the AWR Delrin Race Mount) to have the total package. Well worth it!

I have my TMW bushings teamed up with AWR 70 durometer rear motor mount - big improvements over stock.

Since I posted this thread I switched up to the TRZ poly MM. I like it a lot but I kept the CS inserts to swap in for times like this weekend when I'm taking the car on a long trip. There are much more vibes with the TRZ than the inserts.

Got my CS inserts & TWM bushings ordered last night. Went ahead and ordered a K&N drop in to use until Cobb removes their head from their *** , or CPE gets their SRI fininshed.

I've been wanting to get both mods. They cost next to nothing compaired to other big power mods and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

i too have the 2 items installed, a very good combo for the money for the driveability/comfort gains you get out of it. No need to spend money on power mods if you can't put it to the ground to utilize it. These 2 mods are a must!

Well I just swapped the inserts back in for my trip this weekend. I got to tell ya the TRZ even if its the poly version has WAY more vibes than the inserts. Anyone who wants next to no vibes, get the insert. Daily driving is so much better with the inserts and the shifting is almost as good. I was thinking of keeping the TRZ for racing but I don't do it that much and I may just sell it.

Where in the Lehigh Valley are you from?

I'm hardly in town as I'm off at school. How is the scene with MS3's there? I'd hate to see it be like the VW phase that went on a few years ago.

Ha, I know exactly what you mean... it was crawling with V dubs here years ago and I just never got into them. I grew up in Emmaus. I live in Whitehall now. I've only met one other guy with an MS3 and seen maybe two more since I bought it in April.

My best friend was in that crowd...still is a bit. He has a 95 GTI. I live right near Emmaus, just on the Allentown side. I'm close to the high school and the South Mall.

put mt 90 and you will be amazed how smooth shifting can be......

Since this thread's already been derailed a bit, does the tranny fluid drain/fill require removal of the stock airbox? If so, I'll wait until my intake arrives.
