I wouldn't call it Epic. It's still recoverable and we'll work though it. Growing pains....
LOL....yep. My thoughts exactly. At least I don't have to pull the motor out of the car to fix this problem. That is a step in the right direction.

make sure you have a megasquirt tuner somewhat locally or else you'll be in trouble making things work perfectly.... at least that's what i was told....
i hear people use MS as a Piggy back more than a standalone... bc people cant get ms to control everything yet... or am i way off....
time to re-read this thread....
I suggest heavily in researching before you jump in. join the MS forums and read the threads.and is it better to get someone else to tune/install it if i dont have electrical circuitry background?
and let me get this straight on what we need:
MS I or II
Harness
Wideband
Laptop to tune
Maps
anyone care to elaborate on specifics? I'm sure Bigway and I will be eagerly waiting for the answer
Any way to get around not frying stock MSP coils ???
We are working on a separate ignitor module that plugs inline with the stock coils to make them fire correctly since they don't have internal ignitors. KCBHIW said he would be able to get it together in a few weeks.
Are you sure the stock coil don't have internal ignitor?
Not 100% sure, but that is the way it is looking. If you find any documentation that says otherwise please let us know.
i sent the ignition section from the workshop manual to Haltech, and they told me that our coils have built in ignition modules.
Interesting. I'll go back over my wiring and Megasquirt settings to see if I can figure it out.
Definately. I wish I could find specs on the bloody coils to be absolutely sure. I wonder if I can get my hands on a dead one to tear into.
I have a few extra coils laying around. I'll send you one if you want.
