09 mazdaspeed 3
alright...so my local dealer has a white 08.5 MS3. with 2k miles on it for $20.997. i own a 06 mazda3 with a little over 32k miles on it and have been looking into the speed for sometime ( but seems like forever.) is this a good deal? i owe roughly 8k on my 3 still though...which if it came down to it i wouldn't mind rolling over a few thousand to the new purchase. who do you guys/gals think?

i believe u can get a brand new 09 (same car, just diff #) for a few grand more and 2k miles less ;)

and well, you can get it in metro gray which in my opinion, looks uber badass with bronze rx8 wheels

a new car with NO miles would be nice...i have royal bronze torques now....i was thinking white with the bronze would look really good.

Is it a GT or Sport? If it's a GT then it's a pretty damn good deal and 2k miles really isn't much.

Good question -- if it's a loaded GT and "Jimmy leadfoot" didn't put the 2,000 miles on it (is it the demo?), it would seem a good deal. Many questions remain. Is the warranty now 36 months/34,000 miles or are they willing to go to 38,000 miles on the warranty? May not be an issue if you don't stack on a lot of miles.

What exactly is on the car, accessory-wise?

With less than 6k miles on a car the dealer can still sell it as a "new" car. the sales manager at my dealer drives a cwp ms3 and its got over 4k miles on it and he has to turn it in soon so they can sell it as a demo car. Probably wont be anything wrong with it but you never know.

thats funny cuz when i bought my car they had one with 450 miles on it and said they had to sell it as used because it had already been registered in someones name(financing fell through)

in fact thats the car they made me test drive.

True, if the car has been titled in someones name they must sell it as used regardless of miles. The dealer is allowed to put their dealer plates and not register it and drive the car as much as 6k miles before they have to sell it as a used car.

it WAS a sport. and it was their demo. went back today and its gone...lol. i guess someone came in late yesterday and bought the car. crazy how fast it went. this must be a sign. 09 GT then! (nana) i will just have to wait a little longer now.

It's be worth the wait. Just be patient!

there are no 09's its just a 2008.5 advertised as a 2009...

they never produced 2009's only 3 years of production 2007-2008-2008.5 like the MPS, MS6 etc.

20k even and they pay your loan off flat. I think you should still BB for over 8k though. Dont negotiate payment, negotiate trade in and price, trade in first, then vehicle price. One at a time and treat them as separate transactions... People often have a hard time in dealerships and are dreaming of the car. Stick with the trade in, get what you need then beat up the price of the car. Find a flaw, like tire wear.

Technically that is what the car is. However, that is not an accurate assessment. They ARE 2009 production cars and are still being manufactured. Once the window sticker and Owners manual says 2009... It is a done deal.

why would you roll money into the new car?? i am pretty sure you can get atlest what you owe on you regular 3 if you sell privately. you are already waiting a bit so why take it in the ass and roll any negative equity into a new loan if you dont have to?

woah...sport AND it was their demo means that it should be worth like 18k, man. for 21k, you can easily get a brand spanking new ms3 sport with no miles on it...=/

waiting is a great idea. i never thought i would find myself in a brand new 09 white sport like your inerested in..... ive been looking at used for quite some time now. i got mine 25k out the door with 44 miles on it.
