cdfp upgrade

i still have not seen any proof that a new cdfp makes power or helps with anything. my car pulls all the way to redline too, in fact everysense my full TBE im always bouncing off the revlimter because it pulls so fast all the way to redline. my mods are TBE, Cobb AP and 1 step colder plugs with tighter gap.
BTW before anyone jumps to the conclusion that they are running out of fuel and need a new CDFP, just change the plugs and run a tighter gap. That fixed all my sputtering problems.

You sir have sat on that opinion for along time. as a tech you should be all over this and running high 12s. i agree. I am so rich on my new Stock pump friends and neighbors comment on my black smoke. or is it blue

plenty has been posted, datalogs and otherwise. whether or not you agree with that, thats up to you.

there has been plenty of dashhawk and standback logging speaking to comparing the two pumps. as for the 'butt dyno' effect some people report, every car is different, and you can rely on those impressions if you want as well, i personally don't use that as part of any sales pitch.

the idea behind the pump or the parts kit is not that it alone makes more power. that is a notion that needs to die. it cannot be said that the pump is going to make your car faster, that it is going to make your trap times better or that its going to make toast and orange juice and magically place it at the foot of your bed on a warm spring morning. the pump is designed to make more fuel available than what was presently available before. its no different than what it would be on any other car. you get a carbureted car with a higher flow pump or a standard injection car and throw a more powerful pump in the tank, it alone is not going to make you any more horsepower. you tune for it, use it for more untapped potential when the need arises. is that needed for a stock or near stock car who doesn't intend to do some real serious modification? no. is it going to hurt anyone's car if installed properly? no.

we've seen plenty of cars run alot better with it than without it. i wouldn't be selling it if a dashhawk, XEDE or standback wasn't showing more fuel or more fuel pressure available - which is what it is supposed to do. its not a power adding modification and should not be treated as such.

i would be happy to donate a set of internals to cobb if they wanted to make a map for them/the pump. i am betting they could do something with that.

Hey Ken ... any update on shipment of these?

Also, dbl-check to be sure you got my paypal in 2 pmts ... I'm up in Canada.

hey LBV,

i had mrlilguy send out your kit, took a few extra days thats my fault. reason i did this is we had two kits here with some issues that i didn't like, so i'm getting those replaced by the factory with the coming shipment. i'll get the tracking number from jon for your kit.

Ken would you suggest this for your upgraded turbo? or does the stocker push enough to feed up to the 20psi mark safely?

the upgraded k04? i can't say its 100% required but it depends on the other mods you have on top of that turbo and it certainly won't hurt. so in all, i'd err towards the side of using it together yes.
