What have you done to your MSP today?

Pulled all 4 plugs that I installed about a year ago to see how they looked. All looked normal but 3 had some additional color which I suspect had to do with the gap between the plugs being different. Regapped and installed and went on a long run on the interstate and back roads.
Car ran good and acceleration was smooth.

I swear man, ,**** TBK for real.. that brace was on when i did the engine with my friend Alejo, this guys just didn't put it back and most likely the manifold is cracked... but i need to get the gaskets before removing anything, because at least the car runs good the way it is...

can you get me torque specs, and part numbers for the gaskets i need, IM,TB, EGR

also ryan what's the thermal spacer for ? any pictures ?

the thermal spacers decrease the intake temps by seperating the IM from teh head a little more. I have both the IM spacer and the TB spacer. I also put the bracket back on and had to use washers to keep the bracket from pullign the flange away from the head. XelderX had his mani crack form not putting the bracket back on. You can get all those gaskets from onlinemazdaparts.com cheap and quickly. He is great to deal with!

Man, i went to Mazda Dealer in here in spain, and what a ******* idiots... can i get the thermal spacer for the intake mani and for the throtle body still ? do you know from who ? but the problem is i need to get these gaskets shipped to here in Spain.. i also need to get the bracker, these idiots didn't put it in the car so i don't have it...

I think you can get them all from NSN Motorsports...I don't know if they ship international though...but if they don't I'd be willing to give you a hand to get it shipped to you (I'm good like that LOL)

you can get teh spacers from NSNmotorsports and you can get the gaskets and bracket from onlinemazdaparts.com . They have a seperate forum for requesting part numbers and then you order them on the website. gimme a sec.

make a thread requesting the parts you need and he'll post up teh part number. go to onlinemazdaparts.com and entire the part numbers, or you can probably try to find the parts on the site yourself, but I had a tough time finding the gaskets and stuff before but I know he has them cause I got them from him awhile back.

I want to make sure i have diagnosed this prob correctly. I have already checked the stickied thread on the problems concernign the stock head unit and think i have found the problem.

My buttons will not light up at night but the screen still displays track information and volume information. This is caused by a bad power ribbon correct? is it worth trying to get fixed?
I have another kenwood headunit sitting around from my other car that will fit, if tryingj to keep with stock appearance, will a black headunity mess up the look of the interior? any feedback is appreciated.

My head unit just stopped working all together. It wont fold down anymore. So I can't even hit the reset button on it. I have another one that i am going to install but I am waiting on some more parts before ripping the dash apart again.

yeah mine did that before and if you push on the upper left hand corner it should flip down. any ideas on my problem too guys? am i right as to the reason for the lights not coming on at night? everything else on the console works fine

Just curious did you ever figure out what was robbing you of so much power? Was it the cat?

.... Does anyone do anything to prevent that dash to rattle because of motor mounts? I don't mind the vibration but the area where my desk is rattle so hard, mostly when starting in first or low rpm.... (dunno)

I passed inspection this morning, so in the weekend I'll remove my cat and I'll let you know. i also found out i have a Leak in the Intake Manifold, do to TBK not putting back the brace that holds the manifold together to the engine block, i assume i have a crack somewhere, I'm just waiting for KEN at PG to get me the corresponding Gaskets, Bolts and Bracket to fix my issue, as well as a new OEM Coolant Catch cat, which broke in half.. but i had that leak for the longest time, the car runs great, i still think the loss of power is the cat, that b**** is so restrictive that don't let me boost more than 10 psi. I'm 95% is the catalytic that is holding the exhaust and the turbo from spooling a being able to create boost.. i didn't do anything to the car, just did my Gtspec stuff and remove my test pipe and put the cat in there. right after that, the car loss power and boost.
