Hey guys...I want to get my next mod and it's going to the engine. What can I purchase to get a little more power in the lower RPMs? I already have a COBB SRI, and I'm thinking of getting the ETS 3.5 TMIC. Or is there even a way to add morepower down low?

ETS TMIC and Corksport DP were the next mods I had on my list...hmmm no cats huh

I'd keep at least one cat. I added the SU test pipe and it added a bit of power down low, and the install was very easy. Or, you could go with a CP-E catted DP and get much more power, while maintaining one cat.

from what i understand, you should consider the 3.25" ETS over the 3.5" ETS. the 3.5" ETS has fitment trouble with our hood, and because of the decreased airflow from that, there really isn't an improvement over the 3.25" ETS.

everyone is purchasing tuning solutions to keep power at high rpms and you want more power at 2500 rpm???!?!?!?1

power at 6000 rpms will allow me to hold that gear for an extra .1-.2 seconds. i want to hold the gear. i don't want to burn my tires

First of all i think TMIC are useless because for all of you that don't know heat RISES.. If your gonan spend the money on an intercooler get a front mount were she can actually breathe and get that colder air... it gets so freakn hot underneath the MS3 hood. and the answer to your question is a Downpipe.. do it.

power down lower would add a lot to general driveability and getting you going when you need to get going. the complaint i hear most about turbocharged cars is getting up to operational RPM, which is why i've always been a fan of bringing the power down lower in the rev range.

i see the point of getting the turbo to kick in earlier if that's what you're saying. i can appreciate that.

but once i get going, i don't want a range of 1000 rpms to be useless

ya, i'm talking about getting the turbo to spool faster. i definitely agree that more power up top is useful, but i, personally, believe that a faster spool would be more useful...i guess at this point, it all just depends what you're doing with the car. (dunno)

+1
