Fog Overlays..pix ne1?

i'm toying with the idea of puting leds in the fogs, but i never even use the fog lights so that might be a waste of money.

i DO think that any changes to the fog light bulbs to make them brighter would make them less practical. when you're in FOG, you don't want bright light hitting the fog, that will decrease visibility

Yeah thats why if you take out that ring in the fog light it doesn't help you to see in the fog but in normal driving it helps too see a little bit more

ahhh...yes. i read that thread regarding removing that ring. definitely decided against that due to some of the comments regarding negative effects and the reasoning behind that ring around the bulb.

i ONLY use my fog lights in fog, so changing anything for me would only prove to be beneficial if they increased visibility during fog.

sidenote: i actually think two of the reasons i haven't been pulled over driving a bright red car quickly is because i don't keep my fogs on and because i use my turn signals

I dont have the overlays, I wouldnt mind them but this is what the Luminics 9006 yellow foglight bulbs look like if you want to see them to compare if wanting to get overlays or get the actual bulb:

they are pretty bright when lit and light up the outsides of the hid area pretty well!

alright, @ this point ive decided im definitely gonna go w/ the overlays.

im still trying to figure out if there's any difference between brands?

i doubt it. you can also go to pep boys and get some yellow reflective tape and make your own "overlays"

the tape costs maybe 5 dollars.

i'm got some lamin-x blank overlays for sale... idk if you were considering yellow or not.

ok, got my yellows today in the mail and put them on. I think they look great, and with night time driving you can't even tell they're on b/c the light doesn't really appear all that yellow.

as far as the install goes, I know i've read several comments about the precut ones not fitting perfectly. I would have to agree it wasn't a 100% fit, but you can't forget that this stuff has some give, so I was able to reallign it and stretch it just a smidge so that there are no gaps.... gonna post pix once it stops raining...

I have the blue lamin-x on my fog lights. I think it looks good with the blue on and it makes the light whiter.
