Whos had their rotors warp?? and at what mileage??

67,000 miles. Replaced them with Centrix slotted front, back and new OEM (Napa) pads. Best investment I have ever made for my MSP. The old rotors slid off like butter as well. All those cold/salty winters and I never even had to hammer off the old rotors. I love it when things go smoothly. (birthday)

hello old thread. i was wondering how everyone had such low mileage.

I don't know. My rotors warped at 14k and I went to the dealership. they resurfaced them and replaced the pads for free because my family had just purchased 2 new cars from them.

That didn't fix the problem, so I went with Centric rotors and EBC Green Stuff pads when my car had about 35k on it.

The EBC pads ate right through the rotors and I had to replace everything again with 55k on the car. I went with Centric rotors again, but with the posi-quiet ceramic brake pads and I have been happy since. (I just hit 80k on my car.)

Rotors warped 4x in 60K miles!

2003 Mazda 6
Rotors warped, then turned at 10,378 mi
Warped and replaced at 24,416 mi
Warped, then turned at 36,813 mi
Warped and replaced at 59,989 mi

Not good news. Something is wrong--is it ABS applying pressure all the time (dealer says clearances are to specs) or is it applying pulse and differentially wearing the rotors?

Man, I am tired of this and the mechanics say I'm too hard on the brakes. Never have I experienced this, and I've owned a bunch of cars the last 40 years.

I'm at 82k miles. Rotors aren't warped yet. They have been turned 2 times to my knowledge. Once by the previous owner and once by me shortly after I got the car 33k+ miles ago.

warping rotors abnormally is strange. either it is a defect in the material that just can't take the pressure or people are tracking/autoxing their cars which are building up too much heat for the material withstand.

i have never had a problem, if i did it gives an excuse to do Brembo blanks or the like.

i bought the car at 37.5k, had warped rotors soon after. not sure if it was the previous owner's fault, but i got the impression he did not beat on the car, and i drove like a grandma 99% of the time. so go figure
