When I buy wheels online, where do I go to have the tires placed on them and get them balanced? What if I bought tires AND wheels online and had to get them assembled? Do wheel/tire shops resent it when you buy products online and only need the service of mounting, balancing, and attaching?

If you get an online quote, go to your local shop and ask if they can match it. The Discount Tire near me has come down so low to match an offer for me that they can't be making any money on the sale. They have to be making it from the mounting and balancing, and they undoubtedly hope to talk me into a hazard warranty. Some online shops have lists of recommended local shops that can do the mounting and balancing. Our cars have tpms sensors that need to be swapped out, so unless you want to either buy new ones or look at the stupid light all the time, you pretty much have to get the work done locally.
The best way to get your answer is to go to the shop where you want the work done and ask. I'll bet they ask for the chance to price match.
