my turbo build is complete

that's awesome man! i'm saving now. right now i have enough money for an apartment i just signed the lease for yesterday and put the deposit down. i'll be moving in aug 1st and i already have enough money saved to pay for a year. my goal is to work two jobs over the summer and next semester when i come back down here to move in find a job as well. maybe on campus not sure yet....

congrats again on going turbo...lets see some more pics man!

yea next weekend i wanna get a video of my driving in it. i can not believe how loud the turbo is at only 6-7 psi!

nice, but quick question

why did u route the intake piping to the driver side? why not just leave it on the passager side? using a smaller filter maybe? or playing with the pipes?

yea the hks axleback lines up with the megan piping. sounds great and good combo.

any type of filter would not fit with how much room i have on the left side of the turbo. that was the only way to do it.

i took my car for a drive last night for a while and it is so much MORE fun. my engine bay gets alot hotter now, but the cold side of piping actually stays really cold, and the other piping is really hot. im surpised how good fmic work. i couldnt believe how cold the piping was after the intercooler.

i also think after the car was off the coolant was boiling. my water temperature stayed exactly the same just like it wasent turbod, but when the car was off i heard some boiling comming from the coolant lines. is that bad or no?

There is a Hiboosted 1.8 or 1.6 running around like that I think it was MiaTurbo or something! I like the cai set-up I did. When I'm in traffic car seems to like it more!

well this weekend, i did alot of driving with my turbod car, and let me say, what a experience.

all my friends are in shock on how the car sounds and how the car pulls.

all my mechanics, family friends and everyone else are impressed on the fact that i did everything my self and the car is running very well with this custom turbo kit i put together. alot of people had thought it was a dumb idea, but i was happy to see their faces after my car was blowing past their faces with big turbo sounds. (i cant believe how loud the car is only a 7psi. the exhaust is alot quieter, but the turbo and bov is soo loud!. it might have something to do with the 626 manifold, lol.)

well, thanks to the mazda forums, protege garage, speed circuit and all of other reseach and learning i did from other members, i wouldnt of been able to do it. it was only 2 years ago when i did not know how to change my oil, but i think i made a pretty big improvement since i just turned 19.

so thanks guys for all the help over the year!

quick cell phone pick of the front bumper.

GJ on the turbo install. I'd personally give the intercooler a spray black but thats just me.
