lol, I know he used HDR, but thats obviously not the only technique he did in those photos

HDR pictures only accentuate everything on the picture, not make it look like a painting ya know? just curious as to what else he did

I think that's all he did. After tone-mapping, one should always go back to pshop and finish the PP like levels, sharpening, etc

Those are just reflections. It's not the camera LOL..it's the time of day and your composition.
 
See, I dunno about that one. It's a bit overdone. The fisheye lens distorts things a bit too much.
