MS3 in RX-8 forums

lol, those guys seem really biased towards the 8 over there in that thread....

they dont even 'discuss' it, they 'state' it...wow =\

I don't see anything wrong with what they are saying. I mean really, what did you expect? The ms3 guys do the same here on this forum.

haha....such a biased sites with biased opinion! What do you expect when 99% of the ppl there owns a Rx-8 and you wanted them to tell you that the speed3 is better?

I'm just kidding about the whole rx8 sucking thing....i love every car mazda puts out but i think the rx8 owners also have to understand that the ms3 is a limited production mazdaspeed edition so mazda is going to try to make it a little more special. Also the RX8 is running on 6 year old rotary technology whereas the MZR DISI is newer with only 2-3 years old in production...i mean i'd be pissed too if i spent an extra7-8 grand on a car with much less power...but the rx8 was never meant to be a high horsepower car that's awesome in the straights...it's an enthusiasts car that's very light, nimble and very rev happy 2+2 which makes it a blast around the twisty roads and track...it is kinda funny how the rx8 is supposed to be their halo car but mazdaspeed versions of the 6 and 3 especially generate much more buzz and appreciation as 'fast' cars' and in the end they ultimately are...to the rx8 enthusiasts just wait for the rx7 and you guys will be back on top where you rightfully belong.

You want to start a forest fire over there? Tell them you own an rx7 and consider the rx8 a failed wanna be. You'll probably get shot through your computer screen!

I had the 04 RX8 and I loved most everything about the car.I had mods on it like underdrive pulleys,Exhaust,Intake but after awhile I got tired of it not having any Hp and Tq.It was fun to drive tho and was solid when shifting and turning but I still wanted something that had more power. The 9k rpm was nice tho but getting your ass handed to you by most everything it seemed sucked.

I am a rotary fan from way back. The rx-8 is a great car, but it has 2 things going against it in a big way. Headroom, and MPG. Those 2 factors just flat out killed it for me. Also in 3rd, but not less important, cargo space.

My first mazda was a rotary, 1972 RX2 coupe. 12b (I think thats the right name, been years ago now), mine was one of the very first RX2 to have a serious engine build, twin sequential turbochargers, intercooler, and twin webber side draft 4bbl carbs. MSD ingition (this alone tells you a while back) and modified exhaust. It was a beast in a straight line.....

i wouldve take the 8 over the ms3 but the thing that brought me over is mainly price and the space... i like small cars but i like to have the room also... and also more hp :-)

I totally agree, we are basically all the same community. I feel that Mazda drivers are typically more car and sport oriented that the rest. However the RX-8 is indeed a beautiful car, however it is just totally disappointing that such a capable chassis would have that weak of an engine. What was Mazda thinking? Hopefully the new rx7 will save face for the rx series.

I think alot of those rx-8 drivers just have not had extended seat time in a speed3, sad to see so much hatred from them. one fellow owns both cars and he seems to be the truest of all of the posters.
