I cleaned out the engine bay today... im pretty sure the guy i bought the car from never once touched it with soap and water and he lived on a farm... here are before and after pics

Hell if i know lol, there was alot of s*** that i have no clue to his method of madness...

Hey!!! I'm running that same intake!! It's the first mod I did since I had the filter laying on a shelf. It'll get done right when I do all piping and get my new SMIC.
It an open element filter.. Its an easy way of 'making' an intake.. My car has been like that since Ive owned it..
^ Beat me to it....damnit....
That would be the ol'pull off the airbox and slap on a cone filter mod from way back in 2003.....lol(alright)

that mod actually leans out the car up top on a stock car. i tried it on the dyno when i bought the car (yes i dynoed it with 3100 miles on it), we tried all kinda things that day. terbow doesnt recommend it.

That's very similar to the setup I want to run. How much boost are you looking to run once everything's broken in? How is the AFC coping with the 440s?
How did you make the stock hot pipe all shiny?

If you scrub through the first 5 layers of plastic, it comes out all shiny....lol
afc is doing ok with the 440s, i am dumping way rich at around 3500, but i lean out and run really good after 3800 rpm, until i get the fmic, i am gonna stay around 10-11 ish, but once i get the fmic, i am planning on 14 psi. it feels really good right now, i am doing some easy driving, then i am just boosting for a lil bit to 7 psi. really like the feel! much better than stock, plus i have not had fuel cut once.. hahaha!
if you want to go the easy way get the Engine Brite Citrus. you can spray on a rag and rub onto the plastic pieces and let air dry. the citrus one is the only one that is used as a degreaser and an engine bay detailer. takes about three seconds and looks great. works really well on the engine cover too.
Nice to know, but my knock-off armorall did a pretty good job... i was just replying to his sarcastic remark about my aftermarket hot-pipe that showed up in the 'after' picture haha.
