New Boost Tubes Installed

I must say I'm very pleased as this was something I have been wanting to do for some time now. Checked my cold side Turbo clamp and it was lose again!!!! You can sure notice the differance when everything is tight. Car pulls like a mother!

I also installed a new Recirc Hose. Silicone but more just for looks as it is blue. Engine bay is coming more together. I have an Oil Catch Can coming, and some more goods also. Once all done I will post some pics. Everything should be here and installed in a couple weeks. The Catch Can is being built to order and is baffled. I'm very pleased with their design and price.

Photos, and where did you get the silicon hose for the BOV? Is it just a standard vacuum silicon hose?

I will post pics by end of next week. I have some more toys in route so wanna get it all installed.

The Recirc I got from SU as well. Its on the page before the SU Boost Tubes at the bottom. There is no pic for it and I think thats why people miss it.

these are the SU boost tubes right? any power gains or anything like that? or just looks/not coming loose anymore?

I got the same ones. I also picked up the recirc tube. Everything is blue and it looks hot! My boost tubes will be for sale here very shortly though, TXS FMIC is going on!

My but dyno tells me the car pulls harder now. I also have zero stumble in any gear and that is the first time that has happeded sense day one. So I'm a very happy camper atm.

Yeah, they are a great cheap mod. Mine are all red, and the only reason I got the rec. tube is for looks as well lol.

Last time, I saw you you were telling me about this problem, Im glad you got it all fixed and yeah, the car does pull like hell when you dont have any leaks lol (evil)

Excuse, I do not know what boost tubes are. I have noticed as have others the hoses to and from intercooler are very soft, I do know that is a bad thing. Is this a boost tube? thanks

Boost tubes are the hoses that connect to your TMIC.

I have the NGK 1 Step Colder Plugs but I was still getting sputter at WOT in 4-6th. It's all gone now thank god.

I may be mistaken but for every 70-100 hp your supposed to install 1 step COLDER plugs, not hotter. you wouldn't fix anything putting hotter plugs. The colder plugs are what you need my friend. hotter is like a self cleaning. check the ngk site. i believe thats where i read all of this.

LOL - Colder. Its been a long day :( I was at the casino till 4am and slept till 1pm today. Guess I still need more sleep. But you're right. I have the NGK 1 step colder plugs.

Those suckers are ridiculous soft. They must distort crazy like. Thanks for another must have item!

I honestly think it isn't the tubes that are the problem. I just replaced the clamps with constant torque on the MS3 and Tbolts on the CX7 and noticed a difference.(dunno)

Hey Cook, I was replacing my intercooler on my spd3, and I did notice in dramatic fashion that clamps were not nearly as tight as my experience expected. Maybe they were within spec but? also my boost diverting valve hardware seemed loose to me . Well the car ran much better. But the tubes will expand and create volume differences as is my understanding. Maybe i am overeaching but I will get something stronger. Good to hear about improvement!
