Tornado Rips through Downtown Atlanta

Well we had no hail today (thank God) but upon further looking, I have quite a few more dents than previously thought. Damn. So I might think about insurance.... well, I'll wait until tornado season wraps up. I got a guy I know who works at a Ford dealership in the paint and body. He could help.

edit: About wastegates.... they suck.

PM me full details on your problem and when they started and I'll walk you through diagnosing the wastegate and we'll leave this thread alone. Just move over to my name on the left and click for the pull down and click on send private message.

either he hasn't checked the forums, hasn't figured out how to PM or jsut doesn't want to talk to me about it. I thought I was being nice. (shrugs) Lord knows I have helped out a ton of people with the WGA anyways.

Pic of the tornado that came through downtown last Friday:

Standing roughly a mile from downtown Atlanta, photographer Shane Durrance caught this image Friday night as the tornado struck (It's the bushy looking cloud mass just to the right of the tower with the illuminated top). He had been shooting lightning strikes from his sixth-floor balcony at the 1016 Lofts when he captured the image. Durrance, who grow up in Phenix City, Ala., has lived in Atlanta since 2000. He specializes in advertising, fashion, celebrity and wedding photography.

wow, that's... ominous. What's the situation down town like right now? Scott, I know you drive down there for work every day. I was told (don't know if it was true or not) that they closed down a good chunk of the area that had been hit because of the threat of falling glass from the skyscrapers. Have they rectified that?

Several areas have been restricted because of the falling glass...I think they're still working on that. One of my friends at the old building said it looks like a bomb went off downtown...she said one of the oddest sights was insulation that had been blown through a chain link fence was rolling around - fluffy pink balls of insulation flying everywhere.

they had it closed yesterday, not too sure about today. It's just a bit south of me. It is still fairly windy here right now (as I watch the trees rustle from my huge office windows, seriously, one whole wall is nothing but windows) I know the workers were purposfully knocking glass out yesterday so there was little threat. Problem is the glass isn't tempured so it doesn't just shatter to a million pieces like car glass or a shower door. Instead it falls and moves around crazy like. Creating a really dangerous gillatine (sp?). that would ruin a day.

that's why I put the (sp?) behind mine. I even tried searching for the correct spelling but the closest I got was gelatin.

I know, I was just trying to be polite.

Fale?

In fact, I had to double check my spelling as well.
